Position title: SAP Mexico Intern – Software Development

Location: Monterrey, Mexico

Expected Start: Jan 2026*

Duration: 18 Months

Schedule 30 HR/week

The Cloud Infrastructure Demand Management team delivers a software solution that collects and consolidates cloud infrastructure demands for SAP, driven by business growth and manages resource availability through strategic capacity planning and governance. The solution provides additional capabilities to manage capacity reservations, while enabling seamless transmission of demand and forecasts to hyperscalers. The application also facilitates the collection of availability feedback, ensuring proactive alignment between business growth requirements and cloud resource provisioning.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge developments in the latest technology while gaining hands-on experience in UI and Backend implementation within a dynamic and collaborative team environment. They will contribute directly to the CDM application by developing new features and improving existing features with guidance from our senior developers. The Intern will gain experience coding in python, Django, Postgres, React and apply the knowledge in various demand planning features that involve all the hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP, china hyperscalers) and SCI.

Educational requirements:

  • Currently studying in an academic program (such as an undergraduate or graduate program). Ideally with coursework that focuses in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Systems

Position Requirements:

  • Advanced fluency in English & Spanish

  • Understanding of software applications, software development lifecycle, and development methodologies (Agile/Scrum).

  • Understanding of general front-end concepts and technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and client–server architecture.

  • Flexibility to work with a global team in various time zones.

  • Clear and concise communication, both verbal and written.

  • Strong desire to interact with and learn from senior members of the team.

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with Typescript, ReactJS, Python, PostgreSQL, and any MVC framework (e.g., Django, Flask, or similar).

  • Familiarity with hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, GCP, & basic understanding of cloud resources.

  • Experience with SAP UI5, Material-UI, or similar enterprise component libraries

  • Experience with the ReactJS ecosystem, including tools like React Query/TanStack Query, Zustand, or similar.

  • Experience with Django framework

  • Experience with any testing framework

  • Basic DevOps knowledge or familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Join our dynamic full-stack development team where you'll gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices. Our tech stack includes React with TypeScript for modern web UI development and Python with Django REST Framework for robust backend services and APIs. As an intern, you'll learn to build scalable web applications, design REST APIs, work with PostgreSQL databases, and understand the complete software development lifecycle from development to deployment.

The team collaborates through a combination of agile practices, shared tools, and open communication. They typically use version control systems like Git to manage code changes, conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality, and track tasks using project management tools such as Jira. Stand-up meetings help synchronize progress and address blockers, while regular sprint planning and retrospectives foster continuous improvement. Communication platforms like Microsoft Teams support real-time discussions, and documentation tools like wiki and sharepoint help preserve knowledge and decisions. Together, these practices create a structured yet flexible environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and innovation.
