What You’ll Build
The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.
Position title: SAP iXp Intern - Industries Product Marketing
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Expected Start: February 2026
Project scope and deliverables – In this role, you will be responsible for cross-industry and industry-specific topics within product marketing for SAP Cloud ERP, including:
Developing industry-level articulations of the SAP Cloud ERP value proposition
Defining and dimensionalizing the ideal customer profile for one or more industries, based on the nuances of SAP Cloud ERP’s feature fit for that industry
Conducting and synthesizing customer and industry research
Building executive-level sales enablement content to support field sales and SAP leadership in customer conversations
Defining guiding principles for event and channel strategy, in conjunction with Product Marketing leadership
Developing executive-level briefing materials on key industry topics
Collaborating across the various industries teams to collect information and gain a greater understanding of SAP and its offerings
Other supplemental product marketing and marketing activities
Business impact – This role will support the transformation of the industry product marketing team, creating business value by helping to refine channel strategy, creating a single source of truth regarding value propositions and ideal customer profile, and providing clear, impactful stories to support customer conversations.
Team environment and collaboration – You will work directly under the mentorship of industry product marketing leadership or an experienced industries marketing expert, with additional support from across the product marketing team
Learning opportunities – From this experience you will gain and refine your understanding of the enterprise software and ERP spaces, improve your ability to capture and define product value propositions, and gain experience building strategic documents and recommendations for senior stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field. Graduating Seniors/2nd Year Masters highly desirable
Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.
Prior experience or familiarity with ERP or other enterprise cloud software highly preferred
Prior experience or familiarity in product management, product marketing, presales, or other product-related roles highly preferred
Experience with Powerpoint and Excel strongly preferred; feedback and development
Preferred Candidate Qualities: Demonstrated history of rapidly learning new content areas, bringing structure to challenging problems, and synthesizing both qualitative and quantitative information

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15-62 (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
