What you’ll do
Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - Full-stack Software Developer
Location: Vancouver, BC
Expected Start Date: May 2026
Contract Duration: 8 months
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
The intern will work within the development team of GTLC team. Prior legal compliance knowledge is not required for this position.
As a member of the GTLC, you are a self-starter and will work in a dynamic environment to maintain our automation solutions that have been serving as the critical cornerstones to the SAP legal compliances solutions. The successful candidate will have the opportunities to work with other talented engineers to build solutions by leveraging the latest cloud and AI development technologies.
The successful candidate for this position is a team player, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrates a strong understanding of software development practices.
Expectations & Tasks
- Develop full stack from backend storage, business logics to JavaScript-based UI.
- Develop and maintain existing in-house automation landscape.
- Test case development for existing and new features.
- Coordinate testing, integration and documentation of solutions.
- Provide operational support and new technologies investigations.
What you bring
We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
Education: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with proven experience.
Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.
Skills / Competencies
- Working experience in Java OOP is a must.
- Working knowledge of web framework, preferably Grails and/or Spring, is a must.
- Working knowledge of at least one JavaScript framework, preferably Angular, is a must.
- Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, web development, REST services and database design.
- Working knowledge of testing framework.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of scripting language, i.e. Bash, Python, and Perl, is an asset.
- Knowledge of large platform & infrastructure software (e.g. Docker, OpenStack, CloudFoundry, etc.) would be a definite asset.
- Knowledge of CI/CD frameworks, i.e. Jenkins, is an asset.
- Ability to meet deadlines and quickly understand the existing framework and business requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks.
- Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- At least 4-month previous Coop term experience in software testing or development is required.
- Can commit for 8 months full-time internship.

SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 24-35 CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
