What You’ll Build
The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.
Position title: SAP iXp Intern (f/m/d) - Instructional Design
Location: Germany
Project scope and deliverables
a) Creation (design and development) of learning assets
i) Create courses and learning content using an array of eLearning and video development tools (including Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise)
ii) Write and edit storyboards, interactive scripts, and other learning documentation
iii) Create additional training materials including PowerPoint presentations, virtual and live instructor-led training sessions, participant/facilitator guides, and job aids
b) Consult on projects and recommend design ideas; partner with subject matter experts and trainers to establish content needs
c) Conduct needs analyses to identify the knowledge, skills, and competencies required of learners for them to complete job tasks efficiently and effectively
d) Apply an understanding of adult learning theories and methodologies
e) Transform technical content into engaging and immersive learning experiences
f) Ensure your content is clear, accurate, consistent, and free of spelling and grammatical errors
g) Design visually appealing, modern, professional content that adheres to brand guidelines
- Business impact
Intern (f/m/d) will perform tasks equal in magnitude to permanent members of the team. There will be adequate ramp time for intern to shadow others and learn, but when the intern is ready they will be given the ability to independently complete projects and tasks.
- Team environment and collaboration
The intern (f/m/d) will be paired with an experienced instructional designer as their mentor, who will partner with them on projects and provide coaching. The intern will also have regular 1:1 meetings with the manager who will offer coaching, career guidance, and networking opportunities
- Learning opportunities
The intern (f/m/d) will be a core member of instructional design projects, will build proficiency in the industry standard design tools such as Articulate, and will build assets to use in their professional portfolio.

The intern (f/m/d) will support global projects, in partnership with our global team. We are a highly engaged and collaborative team, and are excited to work with you.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who takes the initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
- Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
- Educational requirements: Current enrollment in Bachelor’s or Master’s program in instructional design, education, educational technology, or related field with writing emphasis
- Experience level and background: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- What technical skills are essential vs. nice-to-have: No technical skills are required. If the intern has experience using Articulate, Camtasia, Powtoon, Canva, Synthesia, and/or Adobe Creative Could that is a plus
- Soft skills will thrive in this team/role: Confidence to work independently (after sufficient onboarding), excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Language requirements: C-level is ideal. Candidates must possess strong oral and written skills in English

What growth opportunities exist: In previous years we have not had permanent headcount to offer our interns, but if the intern is successful and if there is headcount available, I support hiring our interns.
