What you’ll do
Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - BDC GTM Commercial Office
Location: Vancouver, BC
Expected Start Date: 4 May 2026
Contract Duration: 8 to 12 months
Work Hours: 40 hours per week; Full-time
Are you a detail-oriented professional looking to join an energetic, fast-paced team in the world’s leading business applications, data and AI company? We are seeking a friendly and motivated Commercial Office Specialist to play a crucial role in our global GTM office to streamline deal processing while ensuring compliance with approval criteria and evolving commercialization programs. In this business-critical position, you will be responsible for supporting complex deal structures and collaborating with Account Executives and extended stakeholders, including commercial finance, total rewards, revenue recognition, controlling and commercialization teams across lines of business. Your meticulous approach to efficiently managing deals will help provide clear guidance to our sales teams, deliver a positive experience to our customers and directly improve SAP’s financial KPIs. Not only will you work on analyzing deals, but you will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements within our sales workflows.

Responsibilities:
- Our team’s primary objective is to ensure clarity, efficiency and scalability. Our longer-term goal is not to act as the first line of support but to handle new incubation and complex commercial support requests while helping to build field and regional competence at scale.
- Become a commercialization subject matter expert by thoroughly understanding the deal-flow process and policies.
- Analyze and structure complex sales deals, ensuring they are financially viable, strategically aligned with company goals, and compliant with company policies.
- Work closely with Account Executives, finance, legal, total rewards and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth deal execution, resolve any issues and handle exceptions.
- Ensure that the Account Executives maintain accurate records of deal terms, pricing, and approvals in our CRM system.
- Provide support for contract deviations and mitigation plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Continually document and improve process and enablement gaps to help drive the end-to-end efficiency and scalability.
- Analyze and clearly present process deficiencies and work with stakeholders to deliver improvements, continually streamlining the quote-to-cash (Q2C) experience.
- Collaborate with finance to assess the impact of deals on revenue recognition and profitability.
- Support in preparing leadership and executive presentations on commercialization programs, revenue performance and risks.
- In collaboration with content specialists, create enablement and process assets and training materials for the sales teams.
- Create tools, workflows or forms necessary to automate the deal structure or exception approval process.
What you bring

Education: Business, Finance, Software or a related field.
Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.
- Working experience in sales operations, deal desk, GTM or a related role in the software industry is an asset.
- Proficiency in CRM systems or experience with pricing tools is a plus, but your curiosity and ability to learn and find solutions are more important
- Strong financial and process analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills to navigate complex deal structure, quoting processes and multiple commercial and incentive policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Calm demeanor under pressure and the ability to compartmentalize problems to guide the Account Executives step-by-step.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage and present deal data, calculations and deviations effectively.
- Ability to learn and use data and analytics tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud is an asset.
- Must be process-oriented to continually look for policy, tool and enablement improvements to automate and streamline our end-to-end quoting processes.
- Working experience in leading Data and AI vendors, such as Databricks, Snowflake, Palantir, AWS, Microsoft or Google is an asset
- Great sense of humour at times pressure!
