Position title: SAP iXp Intern – Azure DevOps Extension Development

Location: Prague, Czech Republic

Expected start date: April/May 2026

We are seeking a motivated Intern to support our Productivity and DevOps initiatives. The primary focus of this role is to develop and enhance custom Azure DevOps Extensions that improve internal developer workflows and automation. In addition, you will assist with configuration, optimization, and tooling improvements across Azure DevOps Boards, Pipelines, and Test Plans. This position offers hands‑on experience with modern web development, Azure DevOps extensibility, CI/CD principles, and enterprise-level development practices.

• Develop, extend, and maintain Azure DevOps Extensions using TypeScript, React, and the Azure DevOps Extension SDK.
• Integrate with Azure DevOps services (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans) using REST APIs.
• Build user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and Azure DevOps UI components.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, packaging (tfx-cli), and deployment of extensions.
• Contribute to documentation and ensure maintainability and scalability of developed components.
• Assist with configuration and optimization of Azure DevOps Boards (work item templates, rules, layouts, processes).
• Support setup, maintenance, and improvement of Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML pipelines, reusable templates, build tasks).
• Contribute to organizing and enhancing Azure Test Plans, test suites, and automation workflows.
• Provide support for Jira configurations, including workflows, issue types, fields, automation rules, and dashboards.
• Help streamline cross team processes between Azure DevOps and Jira (workflows, reporting, tracking improvements).
• Implement small enhancements, documentation updates, and provide technical support to internal users for both Azure DevOps and Jira tools.

What You’ll Bring

• Active university student status
• Intermediate knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with React or another modern frontend framework.
• Understanding of HTML and CSS.
• Familiarity with REST API concepts.
• Basic understanding of Git and version control workflows.
• Interest or initial exposure to Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Willingness to learn Azure DevOps Extension development; guidance and mentorship will be provided.
• Ability to write clean, structured, and maintainable code.
• Curiosity and proactive approach to exploring new technologies and improving processes.
• Strong communication skills and readiness to collaborate with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of small to medium development tasks.
