What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP HCM iXp Intern – IT Technology Services Associate

Location: San Ramon, CA

Expected start date: August, 2025 to August, 2026

We are looking for a highly motivated and curious intern to join the SuccessFactors Tools & Process Team. This role is part of a strategic initiative focused on driving tools harmonization, process optimization, and scaling enterprise solutions across multiple product and engineering teams. As an intern, you will work on projects that support tool migrations, automation initiatives, and exploration of AI-driven enhancements for internal platforms like JIRA, ServiceNow, Aha!, and SharePoint. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced program managers, the central tools team, and AI leads to contribute meaningfully to key deliverables. Key responsibilities include:

· Support tooling and process migration efforts (e.g., JIRA consolidation, ServiceNow enhancements, Aha! integration).

· Collaborate with the central tools team and internal stakeholders to collect requirements, align priorities, and track cross-functional deliverables.

· Assist in identifying and prototyping AI use cases to improve internal tool experience and productivity (e.g., automation of tasks, insights generation, workflow recommendations).

· Work on scripting to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational workflows.

· Maintain and organize content in Microsoft SharePoint for effective knowledge sharing and visibility.

· Help build dashboards, documentation, and reports using JIRA, Confluence, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.

· Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to team deliverables with a problem-solving mindset.

· Support documentation of workflows, project status, risks, and mitigation plans

Internship position within the SF Tools & Process Team, focused on:

· Supporting enterprise tool harmonization and process improvement initiatives

· Contributing to scripting and automation efforts

· Assisting in the development of AI use cases for internal tools

· Collaborating with the central tools team and cross-functional stakeholders

You’ll Learn

· Exposure to enterprise-grade tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, Aha!, Confluence, and Microsoft 365 Suite including SharePoint.

· Basics of scripting for automation (PowerShell, Python, or APIs).

· Foundations of AI use case development within enterprise tool ecosystems.

· Real-world experience in Agile project environments and cross-team collaboration.

· Understanding of change management, problem tracking, and tool strategy at scale.

· Strengthen communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.

Your work will directly contribute to:

· Driving AI and automation adoption within our internal tooling landscape.

· Enabling harmonized tools and processes, reducing silos and increasing operational visibility.

· Supporting large-scale migrations and tool centralization efforts, in alignment with SAP's enterprise tool strategy.

What you bring:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

· Educational requirements: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

· Internship Elligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.

· Experience with scripting and/or automation developemnt (Python, PowerShell languages preferred)

· Familiarity with Agile methodology and project tracking tools, preferred

· Familiarity with APIs, preferred

· Familiarity with tools like Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoin

· Interest in enterprise tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, Aha

· Basic understanding of project workflows and process mappin

· Strong problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn

· Ability to collaborate across teams and manage tasks independently

· Good written and verbal communication skills

The SF Product & Engineering Tools & Process Integration team is a vital part of the SF COO within the Product & Engineering Business Ops org. Our team is responsible for the SuccessFactors Tools and Process, ensuring that we plan, configure, customize, integrate, and optimize tools such as Aha!, Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence. Our mission is to drive efficiency, enhance collaboration, and boost developer productivity.

We work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that our tools and processes align with the strategic goals of SAP SuccessFactors. By leveraging our expertise in these tools, we aim to create seamless and intuitive experiences that support the needs of our developers and other team members. Our focus is on continuous

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15 - 62 (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
