Position Purpose


We’re excited to welcome our next Sales Development Manager (SDE) to our vibrant SAP Digital Hub in Barcelona! Are you ready to lead a dynamic, high-performing team at the heart of SAP's Digital Hub in Barcelona? As the Sales Development Manager for UKI Market, you will play a key role in shaping the future of SAP's digital sales strategy, driving growth, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and success. This is an exceptional opportunity to step into a First-line manager role, reporting directly to the Sales Development Director EMEA where you’ll inspire, coach, and lead a talented team of SDE managers, helping them realize their potential and achieve outstanding results.


You’ll lead from the front, working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization. You’ll own the vision and strategy for sales development for UKI market, driving alignment with SAP’s overall growth goals and building a customer-first, digitally focused organization. In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting and achieving ambitious goals while nurturing a culture that embodies SAP’s core values of Innovation, Trust, and Empathy. Based out of the vibrant and diverse Digital Hub in Barcelona, you’ll work alongside some of the best minds in the industry, helping to shape the future of SAP Digital and influencing the next generation of sales development talent.


Your main goals as the SDE Leader are:


1. Run Like a Business: Drive consistent business performance through team execution, ensuring delivery of high-quality pipeline that converts into revenue, fully aligned with SDE comp plan metrics, pipeline health standards, and quarterly linearity expectations.
2. Customer Centricity: Lead a digital-savvy, customer-centric, and partner-enabled demand generation motion by ensuring strong adoption of digital selling, high-quality customer engagement, and consistent qualification standards across the team
3. Learning and Personal Growth: Develop the best talent pool at SAP and within the industry by exemplifying SAP leadership behaviors, building a high-performance culture, and developing people while delivering results and driving transformation.

• Encourage teamwork, autonomy, and ownership while celebrating successes and recognizing achievements.
• Support hiring and team planning in line with coverage and business needs.

Performance & Pipeline Management


• Drive day-to-day execution of sales development activities to build and progress a healthy pipeline.
• Monitor individual and team performance against targets and leading indicators.
• Ensure effective opportunity qualification and handover to sales, maintaining high pipeline quality.
• Use data and reporting to track results, identify gaps, and continuously improve performance.

Collaboration & Ways of Working


• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders to support demand generation and market coverage.
• Act as a role model for SAP’s digital sales tools, processes, and best practices.
• Contribute to a positive team culture aligned with SAP values, customer focus, and trust.

Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in sales development, business development, or digital sales.
• Proven success as a first-line people manager (second-line experience not required).
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
