What you`ll do:

On our mission to improve developer experience at SAP, we are looking for somebody like you. We will provide integrated product management solutions to SAP Engineering targeting 3.500 product managers at SAP. The product management solution will support the harmonized product operating model in SAP Engineering comprising all stages from Feedback to Delivery.

As Product Specialist, you will be part of the Hyperspace Product Management Solutions team in Sofia. The team will have a further location in Walldorf. The team will be working with experts from SAP Engineering around the world, like product managers, UX designers and architects.

In this role, you will drive the product lifecycle, from discover and prioritization to delivery and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and engineers to shape AI use cases that create measurable business impact. You’ll define and ensure that product roadmaps align with SAP’s AI strategy, balance user needs with technical feasibility and maintain transparency and agile execution throughout delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work closely with the Chief Product Owner on the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to delivery and continuous improvement and document the necessary decisions and steps forward
  • Define, prioritize and maintain the product backlog and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic themes
  • Translate business needs into clear product requirements and measurable value metrics
  • Align with the project experts to understand the overall timeline and achieve the necessary backlog items
  • Collaborate with engineering, data and design teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions
  • Drive incremental value realization through iterative development and feedback loops
  • Promote AI adoption and excellence by aligning on product vision, roadmap, and success criteria
  • Engage and align with stakeholders to ensure transparency, buy-in and outcome-driven delivery
  • Keep track of the overall progress in accordance with the overall project timeline and raise any risks associated with the successful delivery as early as possible
  • Apply agile and SAFe principles to coordinate cross-functional delivery teams and synchronize with dependent programs
  • You will be responsible to define the team backlog in close alignment with the Chief Product Owner and Architects supporting the onboarding of solution areas in SAP Engineering to a new 3rd party product management solution including technical impact analysis and data migration, as well as the onboarding of various product feedback channels to bring this feedback into a central stream for product planning teams
  • You will collaborate with a fun, supportive and talented team.

What you bring:

We don't expect that you know everything already – you’ll get the time to learn, and we’ll help you with that.

  • Degree in computer science or a similar field
  • Experience in product ownership or product management in AI, data or similar digital products
  • Experience with Aha! Ideas, Discovery, and Roadmaps, as well as with Atlassian Jira Backlog Management
  • Solid understanding of AI solution lifecycles, from proof of concept to production
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to translate business objectives into actionable delivery plans
  • Hands-on experience in designing, developing and operating production ready AI Solution
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, trends, and product development lifecycles
  • Experience with agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) and project management tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Fluent English and a proactive, problem solving mindset

Nice to have but not a must

  • Knowledge of agentic AI and generative AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI)
  • Familiarity with SAP ecosystem and enterprise AI governance tools and frameworks
  • Certifications with cloud and data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Databricks)
  • Understanding of go-to-market (Lead-to-Cash) business operations & processes with strong awareness of how AI use cases can drive transformational change in this domain.
