Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you'll do

Summary:

SAP is launching a bold, long-term initiative to explore the transformative potential of Quantum Technologies in enterprise software. Anchored within the Office of the CTO, we are building a high-caliber, world-class team of experts to create a center of expertise for Quantum Computing. This team drives SAP's strategy, orchestrates development efforts across the company, and manages the external stakeholder landscape.

As the Partner Management Expert, you will be the architect and primary driver of SAP's quantum computing partner ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Head of Quantum, you will be the central interface between the quantum industry and SAP, shaping our commercial strategy and building the alliances necessary to win in this new paradigm. This role combines strategic partner management with hands-on business development for our first quantum-enabled applications.

The Role:

· Design and execute the partner strategy for SAP's Quantum Computing initiative, identifying, evaluating, and onboarding strategic technology partners, from deep-tech start-ups to established industry players.

· Act as the primary interface and trusted advisor between the quantum industry and SAP, building a world-class ecosystem and representing SAP at the highest levels within the partner landscape.

· Lead the strategic business development for quantum-enabled applications in close collaboration with Product Management. This includes defining business models, monetization strategies, pricing, and value assessments.

· Leverage your expertise in start-up methodologies (e.g., Lean Start-up) to bridge the cultural and operational gap between agile quantum start-ups and SAP's enterprise processes, fostering true co-innovation.

· Orchestrate all partnership activities, leveraging internal SAP organizations (e.g. Partner-CoE) to accelerate joint success and report on ecosystem health and strategic progress to senior leadership.

· Cultivate deep, trustful relationships with our pilot customers to validate business models and gather critical feedback for our partner-led solutions, ensuring market fit and customer value.

What you bring

· Extensive experience in strategic partner management and business development, preferably in a deep-tech, or emerging technology field.

· Profound understanding of start-up dynamics and methodologies (e.g., Lean Start-up). Experience as a founder, scale-up coach, or working within a venture-backed start-up is mandatory.

· Demonstrated track record in developing business models, monetization strategies, and pricing for new technology-driven offerings.

· Proven ability to bridge the gap between fast-paced start-up environments and large corporate structures. Experience within a large industrial organization is a significant plus.

· Exceptional C-level communication skills, with the ability to act as a credible and influential ambassador for SAP in the quantum ecosystem.

· A strong interest in and solid understanding of Quantum Computing concepts and the emerging industry landscape is essential.

· Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and the ability to navigate ambiguity at the forefront of a new computing paradigm.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German.
