Company Description

Job Description

What you'll bring

You are an experienced project or program manager with a track record of leading complex customer engagements across organizational boundaries. A background in commerce, engineering, or information technology is an advantage, though equivalent hands-on experience is equally valued. You bring strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and the creative thinking and learning agility to adapt as the role evolves.

  • Deep expertise managing large-scale or strategic customer projects, from scoping through execution, risk management, and formal closure.
  • Command of SAP delivery methodology, including SAP Activate, and the judgment to apply the right approach for each customer context.
  • Strong project financial management; budgeting, forecasting, and tracking actuals, with a clear focus on scope, cost, and business value.
  • Proven ability to build senior-level trust with Danish enterprise customers, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and find workable solutions for both customer and SAP. A thorough knowledge of the Danish SAP customer landscape is essential for this role.
  • Experience leading cross-functional, geographically distributed teams in matrix organizations, including coaching and mentoring project managers.
  • An accountable and practical approach to AI: you are comfortable using AI tools to deliver more effectively, evaluate AI-generated outputs critically, and support your team in building day-to-day confidence with AI.

What you'll build

You will lead complex customer programs across the full SAP delivery lifecycle, acting as a trusted partner to customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale customer projects to agreed time, budget, and quality criteria.
  • Shape delivery models during bid phases, contributing to scoping, risk assessment, and proposals, and acting as Bid Manager when required.
  • Build lasting customer relationships beyond individual projects, identify follow-on opportunities, and secure references and success stories.
  • Establish governance frameworks, manage risk and contingency plans, and run formal Quality Gate reviews within SAP Activate.
  • Mentor project managers and conduct Project Management Reviews to drive delivery best practices across the Nordic organization.
  • Manage scope changes and escalations proactively, keeping all parties aligned on objectives, budgets, and acceptance criteria.

Where you belong

You will join Nordic Services Delivery, SAP's customer-facing project management team for the Nordics. The team delivers complex SAP transformations for enterprise customers, working across organizational boundaries and with global delivery partners. Based at SAP's Copenhagen office, you will collaborate with experienced colleagues across the Nordic region and a wider SAP community that values accountability, customer success, and continuous improvement. This is a role for someone who wants the senior autonomy to lead complex programs and the backing of a high-performing team. The role involves some domestic travel, including occasional overnight stays in Jutland and sporadic travel to other Nordic countries.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or principal-level role
  • Advanced proficiency in project management methodologies such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile frameworks
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, portfolio management, and organizational alignment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex, ambiguous situations
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and developing talent
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Experience managing large budgets and P&L responsibility
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software (MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives
  • Risk management expertise and experience implementing mitigation strategies
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
  • Preferred: Experience in change management and organizational transformation initiatives
  • Preferred: Background in vendor and contractor management
  • Preferred: Experience across multiple industries or sectors
