What you'll do:

In your role as AI Application Development Expert, you will be responsible for the design, coding, testing, and quality assurance in a development team. You will assess and solve issues in new or existing code, and work with high attention to detail, reliability, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with your team members to ensure success. In your day-to-day you will:

• Work with a team of highly technical and motivated developers.
• Collaborate and work with teams spread across geographies and time zones.
• You will work on the entire lifecycle of development projects, both customer specific and SAP-defined.
• Design, develop, deploy and monitor efficient AI/ML modules that drives complex business applications.
• Adhere to SAP's agile engineering practices and processes. Own your code from ideation to development, across the full stack and through QA and support.
• You will work on multiple topics and technologies with adequate enablement.
• Product Delivery: Define product plans and execute against a committed delivery timeline; Manage the day-to-day activities of the development team
• Lead the team to execute enablement, governance, execution, delivery, research projects in Private Cloud organization.
• Create architecture documents and concept papers for various new technologies and bring innovation with the team from product, process side.
• Product Support: Manage customer expectations via product support ensuring high standards in incident processing, quality of interactions, and fixes that are delivered. Development Expertise: Provide functional, architectural guidance to the team.
• Technical Hands-On: Maintain a hands-on approach to deliver highly available and scalable services with a strong focus on aspects such as resiliency, observability, scalability, monitoring, and FinOps.
• Lead with example: Contribute towards teams success with your SAP application development experience and technical business domain knowledge.

• University Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 12+ years of experience in software product development with a focus on developing cloud services and solutions.
• Experience needed in BTP, SaaS Application Developement and AI Agent Developement.

• Overall 12+ years that include 5+ years of relevant work experience: software development, architecture, data science with cross-domain, cross-functional and cross-product expertise with demonstrated knowledge and skills that are both broad and deep.
• Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills. with NodeJS, Java experience.
• Proven hands-on experience in AI development, with a focus on Generative AI technologies.
• Good understanding of SAP-relevant development processes and lifecycle, and how to establish a fast feedback and delivery cycle between customers and SAP
• Previous experience with business applications like S/4HANA Cloud, public & private edition is highly desirable.
• Strong practical understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) or any other cloud platform for development and integration.
• Experience in prompt engineering and designing effective AI model.
• Familiarity with Business Data Cloud (BDC), Agentic AI and its applications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as ABAP/Python/TypeScript/Nodejs and ML/AI frameworks such as Langraph, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Foster a robust, unified team atmosphere by empowering the development team to engage in efficient, smooth cross-collaboration dynamics for optimized productivity. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and comfort in leading change.
• Beneficial: Proven track record in planning and executing complex product/service delivery; Experience in defining success KPIs for delivery, ensuring smooth execution and maintaining service quality throughout the process.
• Demonstrated ability to share and communicate ideas to executive staff, technical resources and other key constituents in clear, concise language.
• Fluent English language skills, spoken and written.
