Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

As a Managing Partner (MP), you will act as the primary leader responsible for building deep, value-driven strategic relationships with one of SAP’s most important customers in the Oil & Gas industry.

Based in Spain, you will develop an in-depth understanding of the customer’s business strategy, integrated energy value chain, and regulatory environment, and leverage a strong network across SAP and the partner ecosystem. By executing the Strategic Customer Program (SCP) methodology, you will deliver differentiated value, drive customer success, and support long-term business transformation across traditional and emerging energy domains.

You will:

  • Drive deep, trusted relationships with the customer’s C-level executives and senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment between their business priorities and SAP’s solutions across the Oil & Gas and Energy value chain.

  • Define and co-create a strategic roadmap with the customer, focused on operational excellence, digital transformation, sustainability, energy transition, and measurable business outcomes.

  • Lead execution of the SAP Strategic Customer Program (SCP) by orchestrating a cross-functional Extended Account Team, ensuring a unified, one-team approach across all SAP touchpoints.

  • Foster a high-performance culture based on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, identifying new opportunities to create value within complex, asset-intensive, and highly regulated environments.

  • Establish and facilitate multi-level governance frameworks to ensure strong alignment between SAP, its partners, and customer leadership, delivering measurable business impact and value realization.

  • Support the expansion of SAP’s footprint by leveraging the full SAP solution portfolio and services, working closely with system integrators, hyperscalers, technology partners, and strategy consulting firms supporting energy and oil & gas customers.

  • Drive sales execution with a strong focus on net bookings and cloud revenue growth, ensuring targets are met or exceeded through strategic account planning, business development, and strong adoption and consumption outcomes.

  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with senior executives to review KPIs, value delivery, mutual commitments, and future growth opportunities.

  • Proactively track and anticipate M&A activity, portfolio shifts, and energy-transition initiatives to position SAP early, maximize commercial impact, and secure long-term strategic wins.

  • Navigate local and European regulatory, compliance, sustainability, and data-privacy requirements relevant to operating in the Spanish energy market.

What you bring:

  • Strong background in strategic account leadership, industry expertise, and business acumen, with the ability to translate complex oil & gas and energy challenges into actionable, value-driven roadmaps.

  • Proven ability to build and sustain trusted executive-level relationships and implement effective governance models.

  • Deep expertise in value-based selling and strategic decision-making within large, complex, asset-intensive enterprise environments.

  • Solid understanding of SAP solutions and their application within the Oil & Gas / Energy industry, including digital core, cloud platforms, data, and AI-enabled solutions.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable business results and consistently exceeding net booking and cloud revenue targets.

  • Experience working across complex, multinational organizations, delivering industry insights and best practices to support operational efficiency, sustainability, decarbonisation, and long-term growth.

  • Strong understanding of operating within highly regulated environments, including health, safety, environmental, and data governance considerations.
