What you'll do:

As an IT Technology Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for:

• Driving improvement projects / initiatives in Event Management area which includes proactive monitoring topics, monitoring & alert processing enhancement initiatives, validation + adaption of new technical solutions etc.
• Maintenance and management of monitoring environment by providing technical expertise and support.
• Presentation to senior management on service delivery, improvement initiatives, projects etc.
• Planning, setup, implementation and operation of SAP technologies achieving ambitious SLAs
• Proper documentation, definition of technical operational concepts and guidelines for the implemented SAP landscapes and roll out of this information/knowledge to the team
  Coordination with global delivery team / crisis handling / de-escalation initiatives
  Driving war rooms for critical escalations

What you bring:

• BE / B.Tech / MCA from a well reputed institute
• SAP NetWeaver Certified Technology Consultant/ SAP HANA Certified
• Project member in a large environment and able to work effectively in big and virtual teams.
• Capable in technical documentation and creation of knowledge-based assets (KBAs)
  Customer centric
• Continuous learner and faster adopter of new technology / process
• Analytical and solution-oriented thinker
• Expert grade communicator with good networking skills
• Willing to work during APJ / EMEA working hours
  
• 8+ years of work experience / working knowledge in Basis / NetWeaver / Business Objects, Business Objects Data Services, Databases SAP HANA, SAP ASE etc.
• Cloud monitoring knowledge will be added advantage
• Working knowledge in UNIX/Linux environment, HANA DB and Sybase ASE databases.
• Basic Knowledge in Network and Storage
• Self-motivated to independently identify improvement areas.

As part of Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS), ECS Delivery ( formerly HANA Enterprise Cloud Delivery ) is responsible for running customer landscapes around the globe in a 24x7 operations model. We manage wide variety of business-critical SAP systems and applications in a global delivery model. We are responsible to build and operate customer systems for ECS.

Within ECS Delivery Technical Operations, Event Management is a service area, with focus on monitoring customer systems and maintaining monitoring infrastructure. Scope of the same includes, on time detection & notification of outages, assist faster resolution of outages/critical incidents and driving proactive monitoring and improvement initiatives to improve overall monitoring reliability, proactiveness and adherence to customer SLAs.
