What you'll do

This position as Operations Security and Compliance Architect / Expert offers the unique opportunity to drive and contribute to cross-projects in IT Operations, supporting SAP’s strategy to be customer zero in using our own cloud products and services.

The role aims to proactively drive and support the execution of mission-critical project in SAP’s own IT organization, supporting the change to our journey to the cloud and AI.

You'll be part of an international, diverse team, working in a role that's pivotal to our continued IT operations, governance as well as security and compliance posture.

  • You will play a key role in the transformation of the company’s security journey, contributing on a highly professional level to security projects and tools
  • Create executable blueprints and concepts according to SAP’s global security/compliance strategy and drive execution within IT Operations
  • Coach and help subject matter experts in IT Operations to implement these concepts and play an integral part in crucial implementations yourself
  • Co-develop and run our custom/internal tools for daily operation (incl. automation, AI agents)
  • Support the IT protect security program within IT operations as key subject matter expert and architect
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing workflows, and implementing tools and methodologies that enhance end-to-end process efficiency

What you bring

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, business informatics, or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years' experience working in IT security / compliance / or related functions or highly regulated environments
  • Proven track in successfully creating concepts and driving implementations in security programs through multiple organizations
  • Hands-On experience with SAP’s operations tools and processes
  • Hands-On Experience and knowledge in core cybersecurity areas like Enterprise Vulnerability Management (EVM)
  • Experience and knowledge about NIST framework and implementation is a plus
  • Certification in the following areas is a plus: Security: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA.
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills, German is a plus
