Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What You'll Build

In this individual contributor role, you (f/m/d) will act as a senior Industry AI advisor and growth leader, embedded in SAP's most strategic customer engagements. You will help customers translate industry challenges into AI-powered business transformation opportunities, creating demand, accelerating pipeline, and connecting innovation to measurable business outcomes.

Operating at the intersection of industry expertise, executive advisory, and AI value realization, you will engage senior decision-makers to shape transformation agendas, identify Industry AI opportunities, and establish SAP as a trusted strategic partner. You will own the front-end of the customer journey—from industry strategy and value discovery through opportunity creation and deal acceleration—working closely with account teams, solution advisory, and AI delivery organisations. You are equally comfortable discussing business strategy with a CEO, operational transformation with business leaders, and Industry AI innovation with technology stakeholders. Your success is measured by customer impact, pipeline creation, strategic deal progression, and long-term adoption of Industry AI solutions

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead executive-level Industry AI engagements with SAP's most strategic customers, helping shape transformation strategies and business priorities.
  • Develop and execute industry growth plans that translate market trends, customer challenges, and AI innovation opportunities into pipeline, bookings, and adoption.
  • Identify, initiate, and accelerate Industry AI opportunities by uncovering business value, transformation potential, and competitive differentiation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customer executives, facilitating conversations around business transformation, digital innovation, operating model evolution, and AI-driven value creation.
  • Drive demand generation through executive briefings, strategic customer workshops, thought leadership initiatives, and industry events.
  • Shape and influence complex Industry AI opportunities from early qualification through deal conversion, partnering closely with account teams and solution organisations.
  • Build compelling business cases, value frameworks, and transformation narratives that connect AI capabilities to measurable business outcomes.
  • Identify cross-process and cross-functional transformation opportunities across customers' value chains and operational landscapes.
  • Develop executive-ready points of view and strategic recommendations tailored to customer priorities, industry dynamics, and business challenges.
  • Capture field learnings and help transform customer success stories into reusable industry plays, methodologies, assets, and thought leadership.
  • Mentor and support colleagues in Industry AI value selling, executive engagement, opportunity qualification, and industry advisory best practices.

What You Bring

  • You demonstrate a proactive approach to leveraging AI in everyday workflows, ensuring high-quality outcomes through thoughtful use of AI technologies, contextual understanding, and business expertise.
  • 10-15+ years of extensive experience in industry consulting, business transformation, enterprise software, strategy, value advisory, or executive customer engagement roles.
  • Deep industry expertise in one or more sectors such as Manufacturing, Utilities, Energy, Consumer Products, Retail, Financial Services, Public Sector, Life Sciences, or Telecommunications.
  • Demonstrated success engaging and influencing C-level executives and senior business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to identify, shape, and accelerate strategic business transformation opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of Industry AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and their practical application to industry-specific business challenges.
  • Expertise in consultative selling, value-based engagement, stakeholder management, and strategic account planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to convert complex challenges into actionable business strategies.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead highly visible, high-impact customer engagements in rapidly evolving market environments.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, workshop facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience collaborating across sales, product, engineering, consulting, and delivery organisations to drive customer outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Fluent both English and German on business level, additional languages are advantageous.

Additional skills:

  • Competitive Positioning
  • Thought Leadership
  • Customer Value Proposition
  • Customer Engagement
  • AI Value Selling
