Role Purpose

The Health and Wellbeing Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling integrated health, safety, and wellbeing strategies at SAP in Bulgaria fostering a people-centric work environment. This position partners with cross-functional stakeholders – People & Culture teams, Facilities, Safety & Security, Legal, Leadership Teams and the Global Health, Safety & Well-Being team - to embed health & safety as core elements of the employee experience and organizational success. It also plays a critical role in advancing the RUN HEALTHY framework.

The Health and Wellbeing Specialist will be an implementer, coordinator and networker, as well as a cultural translator, and a changemaker - ensuring that SAP in Bulgaria is not only compliant but also thriving. Being part of the local People & Culture Team the Health and Wellbeing Specialist will in addition contribute to the successful implementation of SAP People Agenda for the location.

Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety Governance & Enablement

  • Responsible for leading the Country Health & Wellbeing Committee and holding responsibility for the Run Healthy budget.
  • Working closely with local stakeholders and the Global Health, Safety and Well-Being Team.
  • Co-creating and executing the national health & wellbeing roadmap, delivering health, safety, and wellbeing programs aligned with global standards, and local requirements and circumstances.
  • Supporting People & Culture Country Lead in representing health, safety & well-being in the leadership team and advising towards a healthy culture
  • Supporting country teams in designing, resourcing, and evaluating local initiatives, while fostering cross-country collaboration
  • Acting as a strategic advisor on employee health, safety, and wellbeing to senior leaders in Bulgaria.

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Managing local compliance via the Health & Safety Committee ensuring a healthy working culture and environment
  • Responsible for the annual medical checks, vaccination and blood donation campaigns
  • Building reports using dashboards and track progress using KPIs, audits, surveys, and incident data
  • Championing psychological safety and mental health practices

Profile Requirements:

Professional Experience

  • 3+ years in Health and Well-being, People Engagement, Employer Branding, or other HR-related roles
  • Experience in managing projects and campaigns from end to end
  • Experience in generating and implementing company/country-wide initiatives (in multi-national environments)
  • Experienced in stakeholder management

Skills & Competencies

  • Capability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to drive positive and sustainable impact
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while collaborating with diverse professionals, and building strong working relationships with stakeholders
  • “We win as one” mindset, cross-cultural sensitivity, high emotional intelligence
  • Skilled communicator with facilitation and change management abilities
  • Expertise in well-being innovation is a plus
