Purpose and Objectives

As a critical part of SAP’s Transformation journey, the mission of the CPIT (Corporate Processes & Information Technology) Order-to-Cash (O2C) Team is to drive the implementation of the company’s strategy and achievement of shared business objectives through world class end-to-end business processes. Amongst the team’s key objectives are to innovate, standardize, simplify, and automate SAP’s core business processes and assure continuous alignment with the SAP IT portfolio and business stakeholders. In all activities, closing the loop from strategy to execution is key to driving impact for SAP and for our customers.

Expectations and Tasks

As a member of the CPIT Order-to-Cash (O2C) Team your role will be critical in closing the loop from Strategy to Execution by working on strategic projects, and critical board priority programs in Order-to-Invoice (O2I) Cloud process area to deliver quantifiable business outcomes. The Global O2I Cloud Process Senior Specialist will deliver tangible business process design and simplification, improved internal/external customer satisfaction, and measurable business value. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Responsible for new process design, process enhancement and process sustainability for O2I Cloud related projects, in collaboration with the Business Owners, O2I Cloud Global Process Owner, IT delivery and respective Project Teams.
  • Responsible for signing off O2I Cloud processes and vetting with respective Global Process Owners.
  • Responsible for proper O2I Cloud process documentation (L1/2) in Signavio, for projects to which they are assigned.
  • Proactively consulted in business backlog prioritization and ensures necessary requirements are raised. Responsible for raising support needed to applicable Process Owners or PM.
  • Responsible for driving O2I Cloud process topics independently and creating Features and User Stories in Jira with further refinement with IT.
  • Accountable for confirming O2I Cloud Business Testing has been completed for all user stories within the project (where appropriate).
  • Accountable for signing off the process design and supporting O2I Cloud enablement content (where appropriate).

Education and Qualifications

A successful candidate will be a strong individual contributor with deep O2I Cloud process knowledge and expertise who can work independently in a delegation mode in a rapidly changing environment, is comfortable with ambiguity, is flexible in working across all levels of the organization, thrives on challenging work, and demonstrates strong business acumen with the highest level of integrity. Knowledge and experience working with current Cloud Business Models is required, such as Consumption and Subscription business models in all Cloud deal motions. In addition, we place high value on relevant personal qualities: with strong Team spirit, collaborative, results-oriented, energetic, empathetic, with effective communication skills, creative problem solver who values diversity.

University degree in Business Administration or a comparable degree.

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep O2I Cloud process expertise.
  • Practical, hands-on experience in the field supporting O2I Cloud area resulting in an in-depth, practical understanding of SAP’s end to end processes.
  • Strong focus on customer and employee experience and their continuous process improvement.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering process innovation, standardization, and adoption - preferably within SAP.
  • Experience in business operations with a strong focus on delivering tangible outcomes in complex global environments.
  • Experience working with cross functional delivery Teams to support seamless change management execution.
  • Experience working with Agile Methodology while delivering on process automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in effectively interacting, influencing, and advising senior executives.
  • Ability to build relationships across functions, levels, and geographies.
  • Highest level of flexibility, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to bridge multiple complex topics while empowering project Team members to take the lead.
  • Fluent in English

Work Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience working in the O2I Cloud Process area.
  • 6+ years software industry experience - preferably within SAP and ideally across multiple board areas and/or disciplines.
