Shift Requirement:
Candidate must be amenable to working a fixed afternoon or night shift, as required by customer and regional needs.
- Afternoon Shift: 14:00–22:00 CET, Monday to Friday
- Night Shift: 22:00–06:00 CET, Sunday to Thursday
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Global Commercial Finance - Field Business Support organization partners closely with Sales and Ecosystem Managers to ensure that transactions are structured in the most commercially beneficial way for SAP, while abiding by SAPs internal policies and IFRS accounting rules.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a Cloud Field Business (Sales) Support Senior Specialist, you will own and execute the end-to-end deal operations process for designated Partner Driven Cloud deal motions at SAP. You will be part of globally acting Field Business Support team, a central deal support organization that partners closely with SAP Territory Ecosystem Managers, Account Executives and involved stakeholders.
Acting as a trusted operational partner, you will support, manage, and process sales quotations within the SAP CRM/Harmony system, guiding deals through the complete quote-to-booking lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of deals.
Working collaboratively with Sales colleagues, your team and other supporting functions, you will directly support revenue growth and profitability, as you process sales opportunities for both existing and net-new customers while helping the field colleagues achieve defined order and performance targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the end-to-end deal quotation process for complex and high-value Partner Driven Cloud deal motions, including exception handling and non-standard scenarios.
- Own and drive resolution of complex customer inquiries and deal issues, ensuring accurate system execution (e.g. Harmony quotations) while navigating ambiguity and dependencies.
- Collaborate closely with Global Commercial Finance colleagues, proactively shaping deal structuring, challenging assumptions, and ensuring alignment with commercial policies and strategic objectives.
- Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration with Territory Ecosystem Managers, Sales Executives, Cloud Operations, Cloud Architects/Delivery, Legal, CFO Offices, and other stakeholders to remove blockers and accelerate deal closure.
- Ensure compliance with SAP operational procedures while also identifying gaps, proposing improvements, and driving consistent adoption of best practices.
- Take ownership during quarter-end and year-end close by prioritizing critical deals, managing escalations, and ensuring timely, accurate, and complete execution under pressure.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for deal support processes, providing guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to peers and stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the business, influencing decision-making through commercial insight, risk awareness, and a deep understanding of deal mechanics and business context.
- Drive continuous improvement by contributing to refinement of tools, templates, and guidelines, and by representing Field Business Support in relevant projects or initiatives within your scope.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Proven track record in Sales Operations, Deal Support, or a closely related commercial function, ideally in an international or enterprise software environment.
- Proficient understanding of sales processes, quote to cash, and complex deal execution, with a track record of independently managing non-standard or higher complexity transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and manage multiple complex topics, and proactively resolve issues with minimal guidance.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge constructively across different levels of the organization.
- Highly detail oriented and well organized, with strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex topics clearly for senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience working in a cross-country and cross-cultural environment, ideally in a regional or global role.
- Strong team player, proactive and service oriented.
- Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel (e.g. complex formulas, data analysis, and reporting).
- Solid experience with sales and deal support tools (e.g. CRM, CPQ, contract or pricing tools); ability to act as a key user or go to person for the team.
- Experience contributing to process improvements, standardization initiatives, or tooling enhancements is a strong plus.
- Very good English language skills are mandatory; additional foreign languages are a strong plus.
