Position title: Full Stack Developer for Learning Analytics - SAP Next Gen

Location: Bogotá, Colombia

Duration: Temporary up to 2 years

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

The Learning Tech & Process Optimization team is looking for a motivated and curious Full-Stack Developer with expertise in cloud native development, CI/CD and quality assurance practices to join our dynamic team.

The Role:

As a Developer, you will work alongside other learning leaders and experienced colleagues to develop and test the existing analytics tools and help us improve the learning analytics landscape. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing front-end features using JavaScript, Node.js, and SAPUI5.
  • Writing and optimizing SQL queries in the HANA Database,
  • Applying quality assurance practices, including testing, debugging, and test-driven development.
  • Supporting DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
  • Contributing to migration projects from Hana XSJS to CAP.
  • Maintaining and optimizing ETL processes using SAP Data Intelligence and Python.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration of ETL solutions.
  • Implementing security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.
  • Working with Access Request tools to define roles, and authorization concepts

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL (HANA, MSSQL or MySQL), Java, or Node.js.
  • Proficiency in front-end development, with HTML5 (SAPUI5), and JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding and experience in Agile Software Engineering principles.
  • Solid understanding of backend development and deployment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with software testing and quality assurance practices.
  • Experience or interest in ETL processes and backend technologies like Hana XSJS is a plus
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
