Expert Technical Product Manager (m/f/d/) for Multiple Products in Sovereign Cloud
Job Description
We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
What You'll Do:
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager (f/m/d) supporting the enablement of multiple products for Sovereign Cloud.
In this role,
you will become a member of the Technical Architecture and Coordination team.
as Technical Product Manager, you will initially be responsible for one product and progressively assume responsibility across multiple products.
your initial product assignment will be aligned with your experience and expertise and may include, for example, Signavio, Fieldglass or CX
you will align with the GTM, Solution Management, and Portfolio Management teams, to get the pulse of the market, and create an external-facing product roadmap for products.
you will refine requirements, clarify these with stakeholders and ensure they are ready for engineering.
you will leverage your strong understanding of SAP solutions and your ability to project manage major technical initiatives, to enable the delivery of multiple products, into the Sovereign Cloud portfolio.
your ability to rapidly build product knowledge will allow you to gauge customer and SAP-internal stakeholders’ requirements against the existing product backlog.
you will help to design and establish the operational tooling required to deliver and operate Sovereign Cloud use cases within a Sovereign Cloud information security boundary.
your technical background in at least one of the following areas - Signavio, CX or Fieldglass architecture - will help our SC engineers to decompose requirements into small iteration cycles enabling continuous delivery.
you will help to push more and more tasks (e.g. scratch-install automation, operations harmonization, security hardening) upstream into respective product teams relieving the SC engineers from repetitive tasks.
you will actively coordinate/project manage the work on requirements in the backlog in close collaboration with the SC engineering teams.
What you bring:
Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
Strong understanding of SAP solutions and enterprise application landscapes, particularly in S/4HANA transformation environments
Experience with SAP-related integrations, cloud technologies and BTP-based concepts
Proven ability to rapidly build product knowledge and steer complex SAP-related initiatives across technical and business teams
Strong end-to-end understanding of complex enterprise IT landscapes, spanning infrastructure, SAP solutions and business applications
Proven ability to translate between technical teams, product organizations, business stakeholders and senior management
Extensive experience driving implementation, transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across SAP-centric environments and different industries
Proven ability to lead successful teams (e.g. technical project managers) and work cross-organizationally
Experience working in cloud transformation and cloud-native delivery environments, with modern platform services (e.g. lifecycle/automation/CI/CD tools, Hyperscale).
Ability to understand and coordinate secure authentication and connectivity concepts across applications, platforms and infrastructure (e.g. Cas, Oauth, LDAP, AD,..)
Strong understanding of AI from a product perspective, with the ability to identify relevant opportunities for SAP Sovereign Cloud products and critically assess their practical value and feasibility
Ability to take a technical approach to design specifications of large-scale networks
Strong technology skills and the willingness to learn new topics quickly

Ability to work towards alignments and joint decisions in a matrix environment
Persistence, self-motivation, and willingness to work under pressure
Cultural awareness and intercultural competencies

Due to the potentially classified nature of our work, your willingness is required to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process.
Work Experience:
5+ years of experience with a successful track record of leading geographically dispersed engineering projects and cross-functional program teams
Proven track record in end-to-end implementation initiatives
