Within the Customer Experience (CX) organization, the Office of the CTO plays a key role in shaping the next generation of intelligent, integrated, and enterprise-grade customer solutions. We define and drive the Northstar architecture strategy, ensuring seamless alignment across SAP’s cloud portfolio and supporting our customers’ transformation journeys across industries. We are looking for an Enterprise architect with a focus on solution architecture to join our team and help define the architecture foundation for our CX solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with industry experts, product and architecture teams, customers to define our End-to-End architecture to support key industry business processes. We are taking a customer centric approach to address the market needs therefore we will define our architecture with a top-down approach starting from the business process down to the technical detailed architecture. The role requires a good understanding of some key industries and model business processes, document end-to-end solution flows based on our BCM (Business capability model), and define a reference architecture using SAP’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework based on TOGAF. The enterprise architecture with support the fit-gap analysis so we can assess our gaps and overlapping capabilities and missing integrations. He will then support the discussion with our products leads and the partners to help addressing the gaps aligned with our Northstar architecture (BDC adoption, SAP-managed integration,….).

As an EA, you will:

• Contribute to the definition and evolution of the Northstar architecture for SAP Customer Experience solutions.

• Define reference architectures spanning SAP’s cloud solutions with a focus on CX and consumer-industry applications but also other industries such as IM&C, Utilities and Services

• Model enterprise architecture components and produce reports within LeanIX. • Partner with industry experts to define and model business processes for key industries such as Consumer Industries, Utilities, Public Sector, and Manufacturing.

• Document end-to-end solution value flows and capability mappings that support customer transformation goals and position our products portfolio

• Support the development and refinement of Business Capability Models (BCM) by industry.

• Define and maintain an architecture library for the CX portfolio.

• Identify overlaps and gaps within the end-to-end reference architecture to strengthen solution coherence.

• Define and document data architectures needed to support critical industry processes, adoption of BDC and AI within our portfolio

• Contribute to innovative scenario architectures, including AI and sustainability use cases, new business models such as D2C Marketplace, outcome-based business models, and embedded conversational AI scenarios.

• Engage in customer-facing discussions to support industry conversations, target architecture sessions, and transformation roadmap development.

Must-have skills

• Experience with at least 1 to 4 solutions from the SAP CX portfolio, S/4 and BTP.

• A good understanding of data and event-based and integration architecture

• A good understanding of SAP Northstar architecture

• Familiarity with SAP’s Enterprise Architecture (EAF) framework based on TOGAF and leveraging the integrated toolchain: Signavio and LeanIX.

• Knowledge and expertise in one or more key industries: Consumer, Utilities, Public Sector, Manufacturing, or similar.

• Solid business acumen with the ability to translate industry requirements into architectural guidance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven experience in a customer-facing role.

• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment and manage complex, multi- solution information.

Nice-to-have skills

• LeanIX modeling and reporting.

• Experience with business process and solution flow modeling (e.g., Signavio).

• Experience with architecture design for innovative scenarios such as sustainability, outcome-based business models, and embedded conversational AI.

• Knowledge of Business Data Context (BDC) and AI technologies.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 189800 - 322500(CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
