PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Next Gen is a curated suite of learning and development offerings designed to connect students and early talent to the people, ideas, tools, and opportunities that support them on their personal and professional growth. SAP Next Gen connects curious, ambitious, team-oriented students and early talent to SAP's global community of innovators, peers, and leaders. As part of SAP Next Gen, the Academy for Customer Success accelerates our shift to a more sustainable and inclusive customer-facing workforce that has lasting relevance with our customers.
We execute a holistic workforce strategy to attract, hire, develop and integrate digital native talent. The Program delivers 10 months immersive experience, followed by two years of ongoing support, that fosters cloud-first mindsets, accelerates proficiency in role, and builds future leaders in Sales, Solution Advisory, and Customer Success Management.
The Asia Pacific (APAC) Regional Sales Early Talent Success Partner (ETSP) is accountable to support Sales Academy Graduates (AG) to accelerate their productivity and business impact in customer-facing roles. The ETSP collaborates closely with field leadership to extend targeted development and coaching support to the graduates as they continue to grow in their roles across the first two years in the field.
Academy Graduate (AG) Coaching
- Develop AG readiness and independence as a customer-facing professional through coaching & mentoring
- 1:1 coaching with AGs on planning, progression & execution of customer value journey
- Serve as accountability partner for AG to plan and drive their development plan and focus on skills needed to be successful
- Support AG to develop autonomy in obtaining a mentor and driving a productive relationship w/ them
Peer-to-Peer (P2P)
- Foster innovation and knowledge sharing across the regional graduate peer community to drive success and a vibrant peer community
- Facilitate peer learning and knowledge sharing forums, global and regional
- Community building through periodic AG events in region or market unit
- Establish connection with SAP Learning teams to understand offerings and reinforce with AG as appropriate
First Level Leader (FLL) Engagement
- Develop strong partnership with FLLs to understand AG performance gaps and drive attainment of KPIs and goals
- Build trusted stakeholder relationships across MU/solution areas to more effectively support AG topics as they arise, facilitate introductions and extend network to AGs
- Advocate for territory, quota, and comp/progression in alignment with Go-To-Market (GTM) Guidance
- Facilitate FLL mindset and behavior awareness and skill building as appropriate
Role Proficiency & Career Development
- Reinforce Academy learnings and ongoing role-based skills based on AG need
- Support AG to advocate for their own career progression
- Support career planning discussions with AG with 2+ years successful performance
Mentoring
- The ETSP's role in mentoring is to support the AG to increase their proactivity to find the right mentor and drive a productive relationship with mentor
Academy Program Support
- Support hiring where needed to ensure selection of high-quality talent
- Provide evaluation support at critical milestones during program (i.e. Field Transition Presentation, Capstone evaluation)
SKILLS
- Understanding of Software Sales including required processes (Demand Generation, Forecasting, Sales Cycle, Negotiations, Territory Planning)
- Knowledge of GTM strategy and engagement models
- Coaching and mentoring
- Early Talent Development
- Collaborative style and ability to work in a networked organization with virtual teams
- Strong executive presence & communication skills
WORK EXPERIENCE
- University degree
- Must have held an enterprise Software Sales role, with strong preference for within the SAP ecosystem, for a minimum of 3-5 years
- Proven track record of execution and adherence to field methodology and best practices
- Proven track record of capturing and growing customer and market share in a profitable manner
