Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Technical Consultant in SAP’s Data Management & Landscape Transformation (DMLT) team, you will help customers transform their SAP system landscapes through high-impact data migration, transformation, and consolidation projects. You will work with SAP’s latest data transformation tools and methodologies, enabling our customers to move to SAP S/4HANA and the SAP Business Data Cloud efficiently, securely, and on scale.

What You will D

  • Technical Execution: Drive the end-to-end delivery of complex data transformation projects, from first analysis and data extraction to system validation and go-live support. You will configure and run SAP DMLT tools to execute migrations in diverse SAP environments. Within this role, you also have the opportunity to apply your technical developer skills – by enhancing existing tooling while contributing to the shift toward more cloud-based development, both on the backend and frontend sides.
  • Design & Architect Solutions: Analyze customer needs for data consolidation and harmonization, perform feasibility studies for scenarios like system merges or carve-outs, or selective data transition. You will design the best technical architecture using the DMLT portfolio and modern SAP technology.
  • Collaborate and Guide: Function as a trusted technical advisor, leading customer workshops to confirm designs and building strong relationships with engagement architects, offshore delivery teams, and client stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Innovation and Mentor: Develop deep ability in SAP data models (FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, PM, etc.) and contribute to our internal knowledge base. You will document best practices, find automation opportunities, and help scale the team by mentoring peers.

What You Bring

Content Focus (ideally 3 to 5 topics mentioned below):

  • Core Experience: 3–5 years of technical experience in SAP consulting, with a strong preference for data migration, transformation, or landscape optimization projects.
  • Proven Project Delivery: Direct involvement in at least two end-to-end SAP data migration projects covering end-to-end execution from design to cutover, or developer experience in technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Python, and SAP UI5.
  • Experience with system consolidation or system merge scenarios is a significant asset.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA data models, along with practical experience in SAP ABAP development (including debugging, performance optimization, and interface implementation).
  • Tooling Expertise: Experience with SAP Data Migration tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services (BODS), or SAP Migration Workbench.
  • Familiarity with one or more emerging SAP technologies, such as SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Datasphere, SAP AI capabilities, or SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model.
  • Process understanding across core business areas such as Lead-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Design-to-Operate, or Hire-to-Retire.

Business Acumen

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value. Experience working in international, cross-functional teams is a plus.
  • Mindset: A customer-focused, purposeful, and initiative-taking approach, with a willingness to travel occasionally (10-30%) within your region or internationally.
  • Customer-centric and results-driven; a highly collaborative, self-motivated senior consultant who proactively develops stakeholder networks to accelerate delivery of high-quality technical solutions.
