The Opportunity

Join SAP’s Data Management & Landscape Transformation (DMLT) team as an Engagement Architect, where you will serve as the critical bridge between complex SAP RISE/Cloud ERP transformation challenges and our specialized service capabilities. This is a high-impact, end-to-end solution role that combines technical expertise with strategic business acumen to orchestrate presales, define architectures, and deliver transformational outcomes for SAP’s most strategic customers.

Data Management and Landscape Transformation (DMLT) is a Global Service Delivery organization within SAP’s Board Area Customer Service & Delivery, with +400 consultants worldwide. We help customers define their data and transformation strategies, plan and execute complex business and technology transformations, and shape their path into the digital economy.

We support SAP customers in managing their data and evolving their landscapes in response to market, business, and technology changes, including:

  • Fast-track data migration and selective transition to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP S/4HANA, and the SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC).
  • Managing transformations resulting from mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Optimizing processes and data, including harmonization, restructuring, and system consolidation.
  • Improving data management from strategy to execution, focusing on data quality, privacy, lifecycle, integration, and master data management.

What You Will Do

Strategic Solution Leadership:

  • Orchestrate end-to-end presales and solutioning for SAP RISE and cloud ERP transformations, driving technical and functional delivery for data migration initiatives.
  • Lead strategic selling activities, technical bid management, and solution demonstrations.
  • Own assigned opportunities from start to finish, actively managing pre-sales cycles in partnership with sales teams and SAP subject matter experts.

Customer Engagement & Architecture:

  • Lead technical assessment workshops with customers to define project scope and transformation requirements.
  • Define solution approaches and business blueprinting for complex data migration and transformation projects.
  • Identify customer needs in data consolidation and harmonization, designing optimal architecture using the DMLT portfolio and SAP technology stack.
  • Present SAP RISE / BDC (Business Data Cloud) /AI capabilities to executive audiences, translating technical solutions into clear business value.

Portfolio Development & Collaboration:

  • Drive adoption of DMLT automation topics within customer projects and generate demand through solution portfolio discussions.
  • Collaborate with engagement architects, solution experts, and delivery teams to ensure technical alignment and smooth project execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities and developing reusable assets.

What You Bring

Core Experience (ideally 3 to 5 topics mentioned below)

  • 10+ years in SAP services sales or pre-sales with proven track record in complex solution selling.
  • 5+ years of experience in bid approval and bid management processes.
  • Deep understanding of Mergers & Acquisitions or Divestitures, or Data transformation project execution.
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA data migration and various transition scenarios.
  • Basic understanding of SAP FI, CO, MM, and SD with ability to articulate process flows and service impacts.
  • Deep business and functional expertise in at least one area: Finance, Logistics, BW/BDC, or Data Integration.
  • SAP project management experience with ability to create project plans, RACIs, and SOWs.

Business Acumen - Leadership & Communication:

  • Exceptional leadership skills with ability to engage customers at executive level.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to estimate monetary impact of various solution architecture alternatives.
  • Proven experience delivering services in remote environments with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to knowledge management and mentoring.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Languages

  • English: Mandatory, excellent ability required.
  • Spanish: Excellent ability desired.
  • Portuguese: Excellent ability desired.
