Meet the team

The Corporate Strategy, Portfolio & Transformation department is part of the Strategy & Operations board area and consists of – besides others - out of three ‘Corporate Strategy & Transformation’ project teams. The Corporate Strategy & Transformation project teams shape SAP’s strategy and drive the execution of SAP’s transformation in collaboration with the CEO, COO, and the Executive Board of SAP.

We are looking for a Director with a focus on Strategy capabilities, in one of our three Corp. Strategy & Transformation project teams.

What you do

You will be a core contributor to SAP’s corporate strategy and transformation by advising SAP's Executive Board and executives on key strategic decisions. As (Senior) Consultant (f/m/d) you will shape and drive high-priority cross-functional, Executive Board-sponsored strategic / transformational projects. In a highly dynamic team, you will work on setting-up those projects and driving them especially through the strategy phase. To ensure end-to-end ownership and fast strategy to execution you will continue to support them also along the transformation phase.

Main responsibilities:

  • Drive all aspects of a strategy project incl. e.g., identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses across a broad range of topics, synthesizing conclusions, driving stakeholder consensus, deriving a strategy and an executable plan
  • Take prominent roles in shaping and executing strategic initiatives and transformation projects end-to-end – from the start of a project through its transformation
  • Proactive stakeholder and expectation management; build-up/maintain large network across all involved roles on operational level to support collaboration & execution
  • Act as trusted advisor and strategy evangelist to SAP's senior leaders and executives

What you´ll bring

  • Very good strategic understanding of market- and macroeconomic environment, latest product and technology innovations and industry dynamics
  • Strong holistic thinker with good understanding for SAP strategy, transformation, and challenges
  • Ability to conduct sophisticated qualitative and quantitative analyses across a broad range of topics and formulate strategic recommendations
  • Ability to drive multiple complex programs and projects collaborating with executive and senior stakeholder across the organization and outside of SAP
  • Good track record in participating in and leading high-impact, data-driven initiatives
  • Effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills – for executive audiences
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree or equivalent ideally in Business Administration, Economics, (Computer) Science or Engineering
  • Solid professional work experience
  • Strong experience in management consulting, preferably in a strategy consulting firm or in-house consulting in relevant industries, and/or strategic product management, is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Excellent knowledge of English required, knowledge of German is a plus
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work with speed and accuracy

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
