About SAP Digital

SAP Digital is a strategic organization within SAP, supporting the Customer Success board area across the entire customer lifecycle. Our mission is to deliver scalable, personalized, and high‑impact digital engagements that accelerate cloud adoption, pipeline growth, and long‑term customer value.

We pride ourselves on living SAP’s values every day: Build bridges, not silos; embrace differences; keep the promise; stay curious; tell it like it is; and live the leadership credo.

Role Overview

As a Digital Solution Advisor Senior Specialist for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, you are a senior, customer‑facing solution advisor with strong hands‑on experience working on ERP systems.

You bring practical, real‑world exposure to SAP S/4HANA Cloud (or comparable ERP solutions), gained through consulting roles or direct end‑customer environments, and you use this experience to credibly guide customers through complex cloud ERP transformation discussions.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you lead high‑value presales engagements, connect business processes to system capabilities, and engage confidently with senior stakeholders—particularly in Finance and Controlling—to articulate clear, outcome‑driven value narratives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Deal & Presales Leadership

  • Lead complex S/4HANA Cloud presales engagements, owning discovery, solution positioning, and executive storytelling
  • Conduct deep business and process discovery workshops, leveraging hands‑on system experience to anchor discussions in real operational scenarios
  • Translate customer challenges into credible, system‑backed S/4HANA Cloud value propositions
  • Partner closely with Sales, VAT, and Customer Success teams to define solution scope, customer roadmaps, and cloud transition strategies
  • Drive and support RFx responses, proposals, and competitive differentiation
  • Ensure continuity post‑sale by supporting smooth transitions from presales to implementation and adoption

2. Hands‑on ERP & Business Process Expertise

  • Demonstrate practical understanding of S/4HANA Cloud capabilities, configuration concepts, and end‑to‑end business flows
  • Use real project or operational experience to:
    • Address customer concerns with authority and realism
    • Explain how S/4HANA Cloud standardizes best‑practice processes
  • Act as a trusted peer for customer IT and business leads, not just a product presenter

3. Finance & Controlling Focus (Strong Plus)

  • Position Finance and Controlling processes within S/4HANA Cloud, including:
    • Financial close and reporting
    • Management accounting and profitability analysis
    • Cost control, compliance, and governance
  • Engage confidently with CFOs, Finance Directors, and Controllers, aligning ERP transformation to financial outcomes
  • Bring a business‑first, process‑driven mindset to ERP discussions

4. Demand Generation & Thought Leadership

  • Contribute to demand generation initiatives for S/4HANA Cloud
  • Lead or support webinars, virtual events, and executive briefings
  • Collaborate with Marketing and DG teams to create business‑oriented, system‑credible content
  • Act as a senior S/4HANA Cloud voice in digital customer engagements

5. Digital Content & Sales Enablement

  • Develop and continuously refine executive‑level digital assets, presentations, and storytelling content
  • Maintain and enrich solution asset libraries supporting scalable digital engagements
  • Lead or support sales enablement sessions, sharing hands‑on insights, lessons learned, and best practices
  • Mentor junior advisors where applicable, reinforcing senior presales standards

Experience & Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); MBA or equivalent is a plus
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience working with ERP solutions, gained through:
    • Consulting roles and/or
    • End‑customer / in‑house ERP positions
  • Proven exposure to SAP S/4HANA Cloud or similar cloud ERP platforms
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end business processes
  • Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable leading complex digital and virtual customer engagements independently

Nice to Have – Strong Functional & Cross‑Module Expertise

  • Hands‑on experience with additional SAP S/4HANA Cloud modules, such as:
    • Procurement / Sourcing & Procurement
    • Logistics (MM, SD, EWM, or related processes)
    • Sales & Distribution / Order‑to‑Cash
    • Supply Chain or Manufacturing
  • Ability to act as a generalist ERP profile, connecting multiple LoBs into cohesive end‑to‑end value stories
  • Experience positioning cross‑module integration, especially between Finance, Procurement, Logistics, and Sales
  • Strong capability to translate system‑level knowledge into executive‑level business value discussions
  • Experience in ERP transformation or cloud migration programs

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in Italian and English (mandatory)
  • Additional European languages are a plus

Why Join SAP Digital?

  • Senior, high‑impact role in SAP’s Cloud ERP growth strategy
  • Opportunity to leverage real hands‑on ERP experience in a strategic, customer‑facing advisory role
  • Exposure to complex, multi‑LoB transformation programs across industries
  • Collaborative, international, and purpose‑driven environment
