Role Purpose
The Digital Solution Advisor Manager leads, develops, and inspires a team of Digital Solution Advisors (DSAs), ensuring the delivery of consistent, high impact digital engagements that follow SAP’s three guiding principles:
1. Map Capabilities to Customer Priorities
2. Embody a Digital Mindset
3. Orchestrate Engagement with the Broader Team


The Manager ensures operational excellence, coaching, and innovation across customer engagement motions within the Customer Value Journey (CVJ), driving adoption, expansion, and customer success.


Key Responsibilities
1. Business Contribution & Presales Excellence
The DSA Manager ensures the team contributes effectively to pipeline creation, deal progression, and solution qualification by:
• Collaborating closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements and ensure solution alignment.
• Overseeing preparation and delivery of demos, discovery sessions, solution mapping, and Fit to Standard analysis in alignment with CVJ responsibilities.
• Monitoring presales activities and ensuring alignment to overall business objectives.
• Ensuring use of standardized assets, templates, and digital-first delivery approaches.

2. Team Leadership & People Development
The Manager fosters a high-performing, digitally fluent team through:
• Providing clear guidance, coaching, and mentoring to DSAs.
• Setting measurable objectives and performance expectations across CVJ accountabilities.
• Ensuring all team members develop deep SAP product knowledge, industry expertise, digital communication skills, and executive presence.
• Managing hiring, onboarding, and continuous learning aligned with SAP’s digital talent journey.

3. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
The Manager drives innovation in digital presales by:
• Staying current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and SAP solution advancements to elevate team capabilities.
• Encouraging experimentation, creative problem-solving, and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Acting as a feedback conduit between DSAs, product teams, and leadership to refine SAP offerings and improve customer impact.
• Ensuring the team contributes to SAP’s portfolio of digital content, best practices, and enablement assets.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
The DSA Manager acts as a connector across digital sales roles, ensuring seamless teamwork throughout the customer journey:
• Partnering with Digital Sales, Digital Value Advisory, and other VAT roles to ensure consistent engagement across discovery, qualification, and deal orchestration.
• Supporting governance around opportunity progression, customer handover, and execution of internal practices (Deal Management, Demand Management, Adoption/Renewal motions).
• Aligning with Marketing, Product, Delivery, and Partner teams to ensure unified messaging and customer experience.


Experience & Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).
• 8–10 years’ experience in presales or similar customer-facing roles in technology, including at least 2 years in leadership.
• Proven ability in solution storytelling, demos, handling technical objections, and leading digital-first engagements.
• Strong understanding of SAP solution portfolio, public cloud, LoB solution areas, business processes, and integration concepts.
• Fluent in English and Italian
• Excellent digital communication, stakeholder management, and virtual presentation skills.
Preferred
• Experience guiding teams in high-volume, standardized digital presales models.
• Ability to coach DSAs across skills such as executive presence, virtual stakeholder management, digital communication, AI driven advisory, and data driven decision-making.
• Familiarity with SAP’s Customer Value Journey, internal operational practices, and presales RACI frameworks.
