What you’ll do

As a Development Consulting Expert, you will design and implement integration and development solutions that bridge gaps between SAP and non-SAP components. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless business processes, enhancing system functionality, and maximizing the capabilities of SAP Business Technology Platform.

In this role, you will advise customers and project teams on preferred technology trends within BPP development, support the design of complex development projects, and ensure that BPP standards are applied consistently. You will create concepts for interfaces, extensions, enhancements, composites, and applications, while ensuring end-to-end integration across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid landscapes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and designing concepts for interfaces, extensions, enhancements, and overall development projects.
  • Leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Integration Suite to create integrated solutions.
  • Designing and implementing composites, applications, and integration scenarios with non-SAP components.
  • Analyzing the feasibility of new or changed services and interfaces based on customer business processes.
  • Creating technical and development specifications aligned with customer requirements.
  • Implementing and coding services, interfaces, and integration components.
  • Coaching customers and partners during implementation activities.
  • Planning and coordinating integration tests and reviewing integration and development concepts.
  • Ensuring appliance of BPP standards and securing quality outcomes.
  • Managing complex or high-risk projects, defining deliverables, tracking milestones, and providing regular project updates.
  • Managing escalations appropriately and ensuring business-critical and innovative results are delivered.
  • Building strategic partnerships with key decision-makers in customer and partner organizations.

What you bring

You bring deep professional experience in development consulting, integration architecture, and complex technical project delivery. You have strong expertise in SAP and non-SAP integration scenarios, with the ability to translate customer business needs into scalable and innovative technical solutions.

You are confident in managing projects of high volume, risk, or complexity and can provide definitive advice and interpretation in challenging situations. You are able to balance client needs, strategic business goals, and financial objectives while ensuring that deliverables, budgets, and milestones are managed appropriately.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Sound professional experience in development consulting, integration, or technical project delivery.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Integration Suite.
  • Strong understanding of interface design, extensions, enhancements, composites, and application development.
  • Experience with on-premise, cloud, and hybrid integration landscapes.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, milestone tracking, budget awareness, and escalation management.
  • Experience working on complex technical projects or business-critical integration topics.
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions to complex business and technical issues.
  • Strong functional and technical knowledge across several areas.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to represent SAP externally on specific subject matters.
  • Ability to formulate clear project plans, timelines, milestones, and functional requirements.
  • Experience building cooperation within project teams and aligning different stakeholder perspectives.
  • PMI, Six Sigma, or equivalent certification is a plus, depending on the line of business.

You may also take on team lead or supervisory responsibilities, supporting colleagues through knowledge sharing, coaching, and constructive feedback.
