What you'll build
Architecture & Technical Ownership
• Define and own end-to-end architecture of cloud-native microservices — service boundaries, API contracts, data flows, and system design
• Lead solution design from feasibility assessment through rapid prototyping to production-grade delivery
• Evaluate architectural trade-offs and produce well-documented decisions that influence current and future platform direction
• Treat non-functional requirements — security, observability, scalability, and maintainability — as first-class design concerns
• Write production-quality TypeScript/Node.js code for critical components — this is not a purely advisory role
• Conduct thorough code reviews that raise quality standards and build team capability

AI & Emerging Technology
• Evaluate and guide team in integration and use of AI-powered capabilities
• Stay current with the fast-evolving landscape of cloud, AI, and developer tooling across hyperscaler platforms, SAP BTP, and open-source ecosystem
• Proactively explore unfamiliar technologies and bring structured, actionable insights back to the team
• Approach ambiguous problem spaces with intellectual curiosity — learn from first principles and treat uncertainty as part of the craft

Mentorship & Team Enablement
• Coach and mentor engineers on TypeScript patterns, domain-driven design, cloud-native architecture, and clean code principles
• Enable team to make better decisions independently
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and openness to new ideas
• Model a growth mindset — enthusiastic about learning new things and bringing that energy to every team interaction

Stakeholder Alignment & Collaboration
• Work closely with Product Management to translate business requirements into sound technical strategy
• Represent the team's technical perspective in cross-organizational architectural discussions
• Communicate complex architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Align with partner teams on integration design and resolve differing technical perspectives constructively

What you bring

Technical Skills
• Expert-level hands-on proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js — type system design, async patterns, performance tuning, and testing
• Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture — microservices, event-driven systems, API-first design, and domain-driven design (DDD)
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and DevSecOps practices
• Practical understanding of AI integration patterns
• Ability to model, document, and present complex architecture clearly using standard tooling and notation

Experience & Mindset
• 12+ years of software development experience with significant time in architecture or principal engineering roles
• Proven ability to own and deliver complex, cross-functional technical initiatives end-to-end
• Track record of making broad architectural decisions that shape current and future product design
• Strong learning agility — rapidly acquires new skills, navigates unfamiliar domains confidently, and thrives in ambiguity
• Proactively stays current with cloud, AI, and emerging technologies — brings new ideas and practices to the team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills — experienced in aligning diverse stakeholders and presenting to senior leadership

Education
B.Tech. / M.Tech. / MCA degree from a recognized institute
