What you’ll do

Join us as an experienced, team-oriented, creative, innovative, and results-driven Developer Associate (f/m/d), who likes to contribute to SAP’s sustainability portfolio, knowing agile engineering practices and is enthusiastic to contribute in business solutions development.

The SAP S/4HANA for product compliance solution supports our customers with activities in producing, transporting, buying, and selling products to ensure that these products are clean and compliant with worldwide regulations. It helps companies organize and automate product-related processes, implement controls through the product lifecycle, streamline communication, and accelerate product time to market.

As a Developer Associate (f/m/d) within the S/4HANA Cloud for product compliance team you will:

• Be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing complete end-to-end software parts
• Have active contribution to the whole product lifecycle (backlog definition, specification, design, implementation, quality assurance, delivery, and maintenance)
• Possess high software development skills with a passion to build high quality applications
• Deliver assigned tasks / responsibilities on time, ensure high quality and performance
• Work in an agile development environment which requires the individual to be self-motivated, make decisions independently as well as be flexible
• Collaborate intensively with colleagues inside and outside of your teams and as well with customers and partners
• Identify improvements and innovations in development process and methodologies

What you bring

• Degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in software development
• Programming knowledge in either object-oriented programming (Java, ABAP OO …) and complex web technology frameworks based on JavaScript
• Knowledge in Software design Patterns and Software Engineering
• Ability to work in an agile development environment
• Strong analytical and architectural skills
• Experience in cloud technologies will be considered as an advantage
• Ability to easily acquire deep understanding in new areas and technologies
• Self-motivated and efficient team player with ability to learn and adapt quickly
• Constructive and open style of communication with teammates and partners, as well as with customers and external stakeholders; fluent Business English and German

Join our diverse co-located agile development team for SAP S/4HANA Cloud for product compliance, support SAP’s sustainability vision and our customers’ sustainability initiatives, managing complex sustainability requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

The Research and Development Center in Markdorf is a central SAP development center for sustainability solutions. Our products use the latest SAP cloud technologies to develop innovative solutions. You work hand in hand with experts from various specialist areas, with customers and software developers.
