We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to enhance our team’s mission of pushing AI boundaries in Supply Chain Management. Our team aims to equip Supply Chain Management products with comprehensive End-to-End intelligent business processes. In collaboration with product development units, you will play a crucial role in integrating AI capabilities into these products. Your responsibilities will involve working closely with product management, development teams, and other key organizational stakeholders. The role includes driving AI use cases from concept to product implementation – this encompasses refining use cases, crafting AI models, and conceiving product integration, including user experience and technical aspects.

What you'll do

As an AI Scientist, you will undertake projects that facilitate the incorporation of AI features within the Supply Chain Management solutions. Your work will revolve around the delivery of specific AI features as well as contributing to broader initiatives that enhance the underlying framework for AI feature development.

Your tasks will include:

  • Identifying and refining AI use cases

  • Prototyping AI functionality using Python, open-source tools, and SAP services, including AI model definition and evaluation

  • Integrating new functionalities into SAP’s Supply Chain Management products from both functional and technical perspectives.

  • Developing and sharing best practices for the development of AI features

What you bring

  • You are an effective communicator with strong analytical skills, and you thrive in diverse environments, collaborating with colleagues from various disciplines
  • You possess a pragmatic, goal-oriented approach to your tasks, demonstrating independence and accountability for both your work and the team’s success
  • University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Science, AI, or Machine Learning, preferably in a product development setting. Familiarity with LLMs or AI Agents is advantageous

  • Proficiency in AI/ML technologies, models, and techniques within a Python ecosystem

  • Fluency in English

  • Prior experience with AI and ML in supply chain planning and execution software, particularly SAP Integrated Business Planning, is beneficial
