As a Data Science Manager in Bellevue, you will build a new team dedicated to building and maintaining customer support related AI and agentic solutions that collaborate with thousands of SAP support engineers worldwide and that interact with all of SAP’s customers as part of SAP’s mission critical and daily customer support offerings in preventive, reactive and value-adding scenarios across SAP’s product and support portfolio. Your team will be part of the AI & Support Engineering organization with a decade of experience delivering enterprise AI at scale.

In your role, you will:

• Build and lead a team of software, data, security, ML, and MLOps engineers.
• Own the technical strategy and roadmap for intelligent support solutions delivered in your team.
• Drive development of agentic and AI solutions balancing break-through innovation with value.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, and availability standards.
• Collaborate with Customer Support leadership to understand and address operational needs.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across the support organization.
• Establish ML engineering best practices, code quality standards, and development processes.
• Report on progress and priorities to senior leadership.

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise AI & data science.
• 3+ years of experience managing ML engineering teams.
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade AI solutions driven by data-insights.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, cloud technologies, agents and AI pipelines.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for enterprise software.
• Ability to balance technical depth with strategic thinking.
• Outstanding leadership and team-building skills.
• Knowledge of SAP support ecosystem is a plus.
• Passion for building AI and agentic solutions that make others more productive.
• Fluent in English.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted annual combined range for this position is 193400-420200USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
