ROLE SUMMARY
The Solution Advisor (SA) combines deep SAP expertise and end-to-end solution area domain process knowledge to drive customer-specific demos, POCs, product innovation, and market leadership. The focus is on supporting customers and field teams with deep SAP line of business and technical knowledge, helping deliver best-in-class presales to address customer’s business challenges. Additionally, the role drives deep domain expertise to create critical assets such as roadmaps and provide feedback to product teams to support future developments, working to support the SAP AI first Suite first strategy as one team.
The Data and AI Solution Advisor will act as a trusted advisor for SAP Business AI and SAP Business Data Cloud portfolio to solve customers’ most complex data and AI problems. This role require business and technical expertise in data warehousing, business intelligence, AI/ML solutions, and exceptional presentation skills to connect business value to technical solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead solution sales execution and RFP response development
- Deliver technical customer-specific solution demos and PoC, end-to-end AI solution design on BTP and Business AI Platform, and lead implementation guidance
- Lead technical direction for complex business Data and AI sales cycles
- Perform business process capability gap analysis and advise on target state
- Translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions
- Conduct Data&AI discovery workshops and value assessments
- Provide expert answers to customer and internal SAP team inquiries on advanced solution topics
- Maintain flexibility and adaptability to meet account strategy and customer needs
- Demonstrate expert storytelling abilities to support technical and business requirements
- Support demand generation and evangelization events, serving as the face of SAP with exceptional presentation and audience engagement skills
- Conduct competitive analysis to establish SAP value proposition
- Participate in account strategy sessions with major global brands
- Lead strategic internal content and demo improvement projects
- Support customer adoption and consumption activities

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
- AI & Data Background, AI/ML Expertise
- AI lifecycle management from exploration to deployment

- Data Architecture: Enterprise-level design and implementation
- Core Data & Analytics, Data Warehousing, Databricks, Azure, Google Big Query, Datasphere, HANA Cloud, Native HANA, BW
- Business Intelligencem, data visualization
- Machine learning fundamentals (supervised/unsupervised algorithms)
- Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques
- Vector databases and embeddings (SAP HANA Vector Engine)
- Generative AI Hub, SAP AI Core and AI Launchpad, Pre-built AI Services knowledge/experience
- SAP BTP Technical Knowledge, Subaccount management, entitlements, service provisioning

- Ability to quickly understand our customer’s most important business goals and expectations and ensure they are at the center of our recommended solutions
- Leverages the most current discovery tools and skills in order to ensure our customer’s needs are clearly demonstrated in our recommended solutions
- Shows passion and energy in every live or virtual customer interaction
- Brings SAP solutions to life using as much standard demo content as possible. Custom demos or Proof-of-concepts should be limited to exceptional situations
LEARNING PATH EXPECTATIONS
- Understand BDC/AI fundamentals, SAP’s BDC/AI strategy, and how they are embedded across SAP solutions.
- Articulate BDC & AI-driven business value, outcomes, and differentiation in customer and executive conversations.
- Build strong positioning skills on SAP BDC & AI Solutions.
- Gain insight into the functional capabilities, standard demo scenarios, and foundational solution details for SAP Business Data Cloud and Artificial Intelligence to build strong confidence. Understand what each capability does and how they work together, building strong, customer-ready positioning confidence.
- Advanced solution concepts, AI capabilities, and extensibility options across SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP Artificial Intelligence solutions. Deeper understanding of agentic AI, large language models, and SAP’s Generative AI Hub—enabling confident, informed customer conversations around AI-driven transformation. Conceptual understanding to applied solution awareness.
- Apply your knowledge through guided hands-on exercises, system practice, and real-world scenarios in SAP BDC & AI solutions. SAP BDC & AI certifications to validate your skills and demonstrate solution readiness.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum: 10+ years presales experience
- Professional experience with large, multi-national software/IT organizations
- Working knowledge of cloud in the B2B environment, cloud, Hosted Services, and SaaS/ PaaS models, cloud-based commerce/ business networks
- English advanced/fluent
- Português advanced/fluent is a plus
- Industry-specific AI solution experience or business process knowledge (Finance, Supply Chain, HR) is a plus
