We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

This is a paid internship placement that provides students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers.

Meet your team

You will become a member of a product development scrum team working on the open-source solution Kyma. You will support your colleagues in the implementation of tasks from the team backlog. You will participate in team meetings, such as planning, retrospective, or daily stand-ups. As a student, you will work flexible hours, but we count on you to work 20 hours per week.

Kyma (https://kyma-project.io/) is an open-source product that allows you to quickly start developing cloud-native applications with Kubernetes and combine legacy monolithic systems with the cloud-native world and microservices.

You will learn how to develop an enterprise-scale, high-quality product, write different types of tests, and fulfill high security standards.
We'll teach you everything with our experts around the world to rapidly develop your skills

What you´ll do

In this position, you'll get new experience and skills, especially through:

  • Developing Cloud Native applications in Go (you can learn Go with us)
  • Contributing to open-source projects
  • Working on a large-scale distributed system using REST API communication, container-based microservices, and a service mesh
  • Creating and maintaining full automation of testing and release processes
  • Deploying products to cloud environments

What you´ll bring

  • Current enrollment at a university; preferred field(s) of study: computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
  • Development skills in one (or more) of modern programming languages: Go, C#, Java, C++, Python, Kotlin, etc.
  • Knowledge about containerisation would be an advantage
  • Openness to learn new programming languages and cloud-oriented technologies, such as Kubernetes, GitHub Actions
  • Passion for cloud programming combined with a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Good communication skills and communicative English; proficient Polish would be an advantage
  • You must be able to meet the team in the office, but you can combine it with hybrid remote work, too
