What you`ll do

Summary:

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Expert supporting the Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery team in laying the foundation towards a unified and competitive business in the regulated industry. Within the newly formed Sovereign Cloud Delivery organization, we are responsible for operating a multitude of SAP solutions according to local certification requirements. We will work with a multitude of global Hyperscaler Providers in line with global as well as local compliance and security requirements. We established a small global team, which focuses on standardization and alignment between the various local teams, who will execute their day-to-day activities based on global guidance.

The Role:

You will be part of this global team and assume responsibility for defining and managing a best-in-class Hyperscaler optimization strategy for all solutions as well as the central infrastructure in Sovereign Cloud. This affects all countries that are currently supported (ANZ, CA, UK), as well as all countries that will be added in the upcoming years. You will closely cooperate with our engineering team and representatives of the local delivery units to define todays and future deployment strategy for all locations and products. You will spend significant time liaising between all involved stakeholders.

The role includes the following tasks:

  • Monitor and understand the customer and countries pipeline. Balance timely procurement and optimized Hyperscaler Infrastructure usage
  • Be familiar with Hyperscaler offerings, services and discount programs and find the sweet-spot to safeguard lowest infrastructure cost while supporting all stakeholder requirements
  • Actively drive cost saving activities
  • Actively drive service, security and usage activities
  • Manage requirements from all stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, Solutions, Security etc.)
  • Provide regular usage, cost and optimization potential reporting
  • Represent Sovereign Cloud in meetings with Hyperscaler representatives

What you bring:

  • You have strong analytical skills, are a team player, like proactive networking, have a results and execution focus.
  • You should enjoy being a part of an internationally diverse team, engaging seamlessly with remote teams and stakeholders across different locations.
  • You bring a deep understanding of operations processes in the area of SAP BTP or similar applications
  • You are Skilled in process optimization
  • You have a high service and customer orientation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and preferably in German
  • Constructive and open style of communication
  • Audience oriented presentation skills (e.g. system administrators, top management)
  • Focus on quality
  • Track record in customer meetings/communications
