We help the world run better

At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

Additional Locations: Ratingen, Munich

What you’ll do

As a Chief HR Strategic Program Management Expert (f/m/d), you will lead complex, high-impact, board sponsored HR programs that shape the future of SAP’s HR Strategy. Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, you’ll drive transformative initiatives across multiple HR pillars, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure outcomes that align with SAP’s business goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead with authority. Take ownership of large-scale, strategic HR programs, managing every stage of the lifecycle from conceptualization to execution and go live.
  • Strategically manage the program scope. Actively identify changes in scope, reassess requirements, adjust plans, resources, and budgets accordingly.
  • Drive impact. Define program deliverables, ensuring milestones are met and results align with strategic business objectives.
  • Foster collaboration. Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders inside and outside HR, including IT, Communications, and depending SAP HR Strategy initiatives, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Master risk and quality. Identify risks, create contingency plans, and ensure quality assurance throughout the program’s lifecycle.
  • Inspire teams. Mentor program teams, provide clear guidance, and create an environment that enables peak performance and collaboration.
  • Shape the future. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in HR processes, tools, and solutions by sharing knowledge and contributing to best practices.

This role provides a unique opportunity to work on strategic programs that will leave a lasting impact on SAP’s People & Culture.

What you bring

We’re looking for a proven leader with deep expertise in program management and a strong ability to navigate complex environments as well as multiple key stakeholders.

  • Extensive experience. 7-10 years of project and/or program management experience with a strong track record of delivering high-risk, large-scale projects and programs. Ideally, you also have 3–5 years of experience in HR functions such as Skills Management, Total Rewards, Talent Management, or HR Operations.
  • Strategic mindset. You can develop long-term concepts, align stakeholders, and ensure that outcomes drive SAP’s strategic goals.
  • Strong leadership. You’ve successfully led and mentored cross-functional teams, creating an environment of collaboration and high performance.
  • Communication excellence. You excel at managing stakeholder relationships, resolving conflicts, and delivering clear, impactful messages to all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced education. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA preferred. PMP or equivalent project/program management certification is highly desirable.
  • Language proficiency. Fluent in German and English.
  • Your ability to think strategically, lead effectively, and deliver results makes you the ideal candidate to shape SAP’s HR transformation.
