We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

Business Processes Principal Consultant

The SAP Customer Value Group’s AI Center of Excellence (AI4U) team is focused on driving adoption and consumption of the BTP platform through the sourcing, design, and execution of customer AI proof of concepts. This team works in close collaboration throughout the organization to help craft the set of SAP Best Practices for AI development within and around BTP.

Our motto is: Inspire, Innovate, Implement: AI on BTP. We will inspire customers in the art of the possible with AI + SAP, we will innovate new techniques, technologies, and methodologies to bring them to life and we will manifest our vision into reality through POCs.

We are looking to hire a functional architect, who is a business process expert to isolate and identify the value of new AI driven processes across multiple industries.

The preferred candidates will be insatiably curious, have unbounded creativity, a deep desire to teach and learn and a passion for sharing our stories with our customers, partners, and SAP colleagues. Each team member must be willing to receive and GIVE feedback to the team to maximize knowledge transfer, lessons learned and best practice development. Let’s invent some fire together!

About the Role:

The team currently requires a functional architect in EMEA covering either Finance and/or Supply Chain. Each architect must provide a comprehensive understanding of their respective process domain but more importantly, a detailed opinion on how AI can provide high value to their area. Ideal candidates will not be required to configure solutions but will be required to demonstrate a deep and thorough understanding of business process to customer functional leaders to gain credibility and demonstrate value.

Requirements:

  • 10 years experience as a process expert within either Finance or Supply Chain, while also spanning multiple industries
  • Ability and willingness to be positioned equally as a functional expert but also act in a sales capacity to generate high value use cases working directly with customers LOB leaders. (No quotas)
  • Demonstrated capability to solve complex problems in unique ways unconstrained by artificial constructs
  • Demonstrated history of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and learning
  • Demonstrated experience in actively learning new topics, and capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience as a thought leader
  • Strong conceptual understanding on SAP AI platforms and toolsets

Responsibilities:

  • Actively hunting for new opportunities within assigned region. Working diligently with GTM teams, actively engaging SAEs and IAEs/GADs to position BTP AI capabilities, and to create an opportunity for workshops
  • On site execution of AI workshops to identify AI use cases and help drive towards quantification of value
  • Ability to clearly write functional and data specifications for the identified AI use cases
  • Collaborating closely with customer functional team leaders in conjunction with the BTP AI team’s technical and UX resources
  • Ideate, position, and drive high value AI use cases in both POCs but externally into the community
  • Other potential responsibilities include customer presentations, sales enablement, community management, blog authorship, mentorship, documentation, lite project management, project execution (<2m engagements)
