Company Description

Job Description

What you’ll bring

You bring a solid analytical and data science background, ideally based on a degree in mathematics, computer science, data science, engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience. You have practical experience in time series analysis, statistical methods, machine learning, AI-enabled forecasting, data preparation, and data quality checks.

You are confident working with SQL, databases, large data volumes, data models, and analytical questions. You understand integration scenarios and are able to evaluate functional and technical requirements with technical teams. Experience with data integration, complex system landscapes, and heterogeneous data sources is a plus.

You want to apply data science methods in real retail business processes. You are motivated to grow your expertise in SAP Retail Intelligence, Demand and Inventory Planning, AI-based planning, and customer-facing consulting. Detailed knowledge of all SAP components is not mandatory, but curiosity and willingness to learn SAP Retail Intelligence and modern planning processes are essential.

You communicate analytical results clearly to different stakeholder groups and translate them into actionable recommendations. You work in a structured, self-directed, and team-oriented way, have strong analytical thinking skills, and enjoy working in international teams. Fluency in German and business-level English are required.

What you’ll build

You will support international retail customers in implementing and integrating SAP Customer Activity Repository, Unified Demand Forecast, and SAP Retail Intelligence, with a focus on data analysis, AI- and ML-enabled demand forecasting, replenishment, and inventory optimization.

You will assess, prepare, and evaluate large data volumes and contribute to robust forecasting, planning, and optimization models. Your work will include time series analysis, feature engineering, model validation, forecast quality assessment, error analysis, KPI concepts, model monitoring, retraining approaches, and the continuous improvement of forecasting models.

You will contribute to data integration between SAP components and heterogeneous data sources and help ensure data quality through validations, monitoring, and appropriate governance methods. In close collaboration with functional and technical teams, you will help customers improve end-to-end processes in demand planning, forecasting, automated replenishment, and inventory management.

You will also contribute to next-generation forecasting solutions and AI topics, helping customers prepare for and successfully adopt innovative planning and forecasting capabilities. In this role, you will support our retail customers on their Autonomous Enterprise journey towards Autonomous Unified Commerce.

Where you belong

You will join the Consumer Industry Services team, where we support international retail customers with demand forecasting, automated replenishment, inventory optimization, and Demand and Inventory Planning. Our team combines data science, SAP solution expertise, retail process knowledge, and customer-facing consulting. We work on modern SAP Retail Intelligence scenarios and actively collaborate on next-generation forecasting and AI topics to make new technological opportunities usable for our customers and support adoption readiness.

This role is designed for candidates who want to use their data science expertise in real business processes and grow into a future-oriented AI and SAP Retail consulting role. You will work with skilled colleagues, international stakeholders, and customers who are shaping the next step towards SAP Autonomous Enterprise and Autonomous Unified Commerce.
