Summary & Role Information:
You’ll be an Application Engineer for agentic solutions in the Customer Experience & Solutions area.
What You'll Do:
You’ll design, build, and evolve AI-native applications and agents that enable the adoption of AI across SAP’s customers. Apply modern agentic engineering methods, AI tooling, and platform capabilities to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions while continuously improving system quality and user value. You’ll collaborate with the different engineering teams.
Design secure, scalable AI capabilities based on analysis of customer requirements.
Apply AI-assisted engineering patterns to accelerate delivery, including context engineering, automated code generation, and specification-driven development.
Implement reliable, orchestrated multi-agent systems.
Ensure application and AI output quality through testing, benchmarking, and user feedback analysis.
Operate, improve, and troubleshoot applications in production by analyzing telemetry, user feedback, and evaluation results.
Create developer and user documentation with AI support.
What You Bring:
Degree in information technology or computer science
2 or more years of working experience in the IT or software industry
1 or more years of experience in the field of AI engineering
Familiarity with SAP solutions, especially in SAP Cloud ALM
Experience with multi-agent systems and agentic orchestration
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), GitHub, vibe-coding via Claude Code and Cline
Experience in technical writing and content management in IT; knowledge of DITA authoring framework
Experience in customer communication and requirement analysis
Fluent in English
Fluent in German is a plus
Experience with development teams working in an agile scrum mode and in feature-driven, cloud-native development

Internally, SAP Cloud ALM is the flagship for the Golden Path development standard for SAP cloud applications and follows the Deploy with Confidence (DwC) model. Our international teams work in a cloud-native, feature-driven, continuous development mode. We deploy to production daily and publish new features to customers every two weeks.
Specifically, you’ll be with the teams of ERIL (Engineering Reliability and Insights Layer), a multi-agent service that accelerates our development and delivery processes.
