Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you’ll build:

  • Territory: France – Portfolio “Territories and Health Organizations” covering local authorities (regions, departments, metropolitan areas, federations of municipalities, major cities), local public enterprises (EPL: public utilities, development operators, mobility, energy/lighting, water, waste, sanitation, housing, tourism, ports/airports), hospitals, and health agencies.
  • Nature of the position: Primarily a “new business/greenfield” role (low vendor/publisher presence in these accounts, with few exceptions), with a focus on market creation — account prioritization, market penetration, opportunity creation — as well as the management of an ecosystem of partners (integrators, complementary publishers, consulting, cloud).
  • Key responsibilities: Support a Senior Account Executive in defining the account and territory plans, qualifying customer needs, building business cases, leading prospecting campaigns, managing relationships with key decision makers (CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, General Secretaries, business unit leaders), and coordinating the extended team (pre-sales, sales specialists, architects, value advisors).
  • Challenges: Long sales cycles, political and budgetary stakes, high compliance requirements (security, data), need for evangelization (many products), well-established competitors — so it is essential to build a differentiation strategy (business value, platform, integration, industrialization).

What you bring:

The key skills and attitudes necessary for success in this role are:

  • An ability to structure and analyze information in order to efficiently support the management of complex business opportunities (accounts, sales cycles, customer priorities).
  • A strong interest in technology and digital solutions, and how they address concrete business challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially written, to contribute to the preparation of clear, precise, and client-focused commercial materials.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, essential to support a Senior Account Executive and interact with multiple stakeholders.
  • An affinity for structured, tool-driven environments (CRM, management tools, reporting).
  • A learning-oriented mindset, combining curiosity, rigor, and determination to progress in a demanding environment.
  • No prior expertise in the public sector or the solution portfolio is required. Success in this role will depend on your ability to ramp up quickly, understand client challenges, and consistently contribute to the team’s commercial priorities.
  • Proficiency in both English and French is required (at least C1 level).
  • Student in Bac+4/Master 1, available for a duration of 24 months (during Master 1 and Master 2).

Where you belong:

  • A team of 8 Senior Account Executives managing all public sector accounts for SAP: Ministries, government agencies, universities, schools, research centers, social security institutions, hospitals, various public organizations, local authorities, and local public enterprises.
  • A collaborative and passionate public sector team able to unite the expertise of SAP and its partners to deliver projects that impact both the work of civil servants and the lives of citizens and businesses.
  • This role provides a gateway into the field of selling complex solutions at the intersection of business, technology, and institutional challenges.
  • The working environment is open-office, with spaces adapted to different work situations (focus rooms, spaces dedicated for inspiration and ideas, executive rooms, group rooms, one-to-ones), relaxation and gaming areas. There is a company restaurant, accessible bar and lounge, as well as fitness rooms.

Duration: 24 months
Start Date: September 2026

This contract is subject to remuneration in line with the applicable collective agreement (Convention SYNTEC).
