Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you'll build

SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise is one of SAP's Business Intelligence solutions. It includes a suite of BI products for reporting, analytics, and enterprise data workflows. In 2026, AI is at the center of our engineering strategy, from development to quality control and production readiness.

This apprenticeship is designed for high-potential engineers who want to build, ship, and measure real impact in a global enterprise product.

You will contribute to AI-enabled engineering initiatives aligned with BI Suite 2026 goals:

- Build with Copilot and MCP to accelerate coding, reviews, and technical documentation.

- Apply 10X engineering practices across Code Quality, Test Coverage, Root Cause Analysis, and Knowledge Retention.

- Strengthen quality control through CI or CD validation, quality gates, and test reliability.

- Improve diagnostic speed and regression prevention on real product scenarios.

- Contribute to Open Platform assets on GitHub with AI integration guides and reusable solution patterns.

As part of your mission, you will:

- Define and challenge technical specifications with mentors and product stakeholders.

- Deliver production-grade implementations, not prototypes only.

- Validate outcomes through tests, CI or CD checks, and measurable quality indicators.

- Present demos, share lessons learned, and influence engineering practices.

You will work in real industrial conditions, gain deep BI product expertise, and build a strong profile in AI-driven software engineering.

What you bring

You are a student in an engineering school looking for a 2 or 3-year apprenticeship.

You are passionate about software development, AI technologies, and engineering excellence. You combine rigor, curiosity, ownership, and team spirit.

Required profile:

- Strong communication skills in French (at least B2 level).

- Technical communication in English.

- Good level in one or more programming languages: Java, JavaScript, SQL.

- Interest in AI-enabled engineering workflows (Copilot, MCP, prompt practices, AI-assisted troubleshooting).

- Curiosity for quality engineering, testing strategy, and CI or CD automation.

What will make you stand out:

- You enjoy solving complex technical problems with a pragmatic mindset.

- You like learning fast, shipping fast, and improving through feedback.

- You can explain technical decisions clearly and take responsibility for outcomes.

Technical environment:

- SCM: GitHub

- Languages: Java, C++, JavaScript, SQL

- Framework: React

- Database: SAP HANA

- CI/CD: Jenkins, Groovy

- AI Tooling: Copilot, MCP-based integration scenarios

Where you belong

You will work in a team of around 10 members.

For this mission, you will collaborate with engineers, functional owners, and managers on AI-focused engineering initiatives. You will be mentored on technical execution and guided by team leadership on scope, priorities, and delivery quality.

You will get direct exposure to end-to-end product engineering: specification, implementation, validation, demo, and continuous improvement.

You will regularly present progress, demonstrate outcomes, and share best practices with the team and stakeholders.

Duration: 24-36 months
Start Date: September 2026
This contract is subject to remuneration in line with the applicable collective agreement (Convention SYNTEC)
