• Grounded AI for the quoting workflow. Design and ship AI-driven features that support Account Executives directly as they configure, price, and close complex deals: automation, decision support, and guardrails grounded in the platform's own pricing and configuration reasoning. Getting that grounding right is the core technical assignment, not an afterthought.
• AI that slots into an enterprise platform. Build AI components that integrate through clean, API-based boundaries, from experiment to production deployment on SAP BTP. You'll help answer where AI genuinely adds value, and where deterministic platform reasoning must stay proficient.
• Analytics that justify the work. Mine large operational datasets, support tickets, quote records, and telemetry events, to find where the real pains and opportunities are. You'll turn millions of noisy records into a defensible, decision-ready answer.
• Observability that tells the truth in production. Build the monitoring, dashboards, and telemetry pipelines that show how our systems, AI and otherwise, actually behave once real deals flow through them.

What you bring

• A robust engineer with real AI experience. You own code end-to-end and have taken LLM-based systems into production, with rigorous evaluation.
• Depth in Python and modern AI frameworks. Hands-on with generative AI, LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, and grounded systems.
• Data and analytics chops. You turn large, messy operational datasets into something credibility.
• Observability engineering. You build the monitoring, dashboards, and telemetry pipelines that show how systems actually behave.
• Cloud-native, enterprise-integration experience. Comfortable integrating REST/OData APIs in a real enterprise landscape.

Mindset

• You're energized by learning and experimentation, and you ground ambitious ideas in evidence and working code.
• You state confidence honestly, chase root causes, and would rather ship something true and bounded than something impressive and wrong.
• You're comfortable with the messy parts: legacy data that fights back, and the judgment call of deciding where AI should not be trusted.

Experience required

• 5+ years building and shipping production software as an engineer who owns code end-to-end.
• 2+ years working with LLM-based or generative AI systems in production, with real evaluation rigor, not notebook prototypes.
• Solid Python (3+ years hands-on) and functional depth in modern AI frameworks: LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented or grounded systems.
• Proficient SQL and 3+ years wrangling large, messy operational datasets into something credibility.
• Demonstrated experience building observability: monitoring, dashboards, and telemetry pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Elasticsearch, Kibana).
• Cloud-native, enterprise-integration experience, comfortable integrating REST/OData APIs in a real enterprise landscape.

Nice to have

• SAP BTP experience.
• Domain exposure to CPQ, quoting, pricing, or sales/revenue processes.
