Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Agentic AI Platform and Enablement Manager to lead a team of 8+ and drive the adoption of our Kyma-based Agentic AI platform across SAP. You will oversee the enablement of 5,000+ engineers, ensuring they can efficiently build, deploy, and manage agentic AI microservices on our CPIT Agent Platform. This role combines strategic platform vision with hands-on technical leadership, focusing on Developer Experience (DevEx), platform reliability, and scalable enablement programs. You will act as the primary liaison between platform engineering and the developer community, fostering a thriving ecosystem of AI-powered solutions.

What you`ll do:

You define and execute the roadmap for the SAP CPIT Agent Platform enablement, prioritizing features, documentation, and support mechanisms that reduce friction for developers and safeguard smooth onboarding. You manage a team of 10, providing mentorship, performance management, and technical guidance. You collaborate with product owners and architects to ensure the platform evolves with Agentic AI trends while maintaining enterprise-grade security. You analyze usage metrics and feedback to continuously improve platform usability, onboarding, and tooling. Success is measured indirectly by the velocity, quality, and adoption of services built by 5,000+ engineers and directly by the quality of your teams enablement output in the form of reference applications, AI-based enablement content (e.g. claude plugin) and face2face enablement.

  • Lead a team of 10 enablement engineers, driving delivery, growth, and technical excellence.
  • Define and execute the enablement strategy for 5,000+ SAP engineers.
  • Contribute to and influence the Kyma-based platform roadmap and delivery, ensuring scalability, security, and focusing on Developer Experience
  • Develop tooling, documentation, reference apps and workshops to accelerate AI development and enterprise grade operations
  • Collaborate with architects to integrate latest Agentic AI standards (MCP, A2A, LangGraph)
  • Monitor platform adoption, performance, and feedback loops for continuous improvement.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across LoBs to align platform capabilities with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance, governance, and best practices across all agentic AI microservices.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven leadership of technical teams, focusing on delivery, mentoring, and performance.
  • Deep expertise in Kyma, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong grasp of Agentic AI concepts, frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI), and standards (MCP, A2A) to drive platform capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success enabling large developer communities (1000+) via documentation, workshops, and tooling.
  • Very Deep Proficiency in Python and IDE handling with devcontainers
  • Very deep knowledge around Agentic AI lifecycle management – e.g. AgentOps via Mlflow: agent tracing, evaluation and trace labeling
  • Agile/SAFe experience. SAP AI experience is a plus. Passion for developer advocacy
  • Knowledge of CPIT agent platform and AIFactory Golden Path is a big plus

Within SAP IT, our Enterprise AI CoE team has the purpose to help SAP to transform into a data-driven intelligent enterprise, by empowering SAP employees to simplify processes, leveraging AI technologies. We implement both standard SAP AI and custom built solutions across all LoBs. We are customer zero of SAP standard AI solutions and provide continuous feedback to standard development for product improvement. We provide an AI Platform and Infrastructure to entire SAP AI practitioners for building their own ML solutions in the entire ML lifecycle following MLOps methodology. Furthermore, we build and operate a central chatbot platform based on SAP Conversational AI with the aim to provide capabilities from all lines of business through a single digital assistant. We also build those capabilities (individual chatbots) as well as support other teams in building further ones.
