What you'll Build

The current requirement is for an ABAP full stack Developer position within SAP’s Private Cloud organization. We are looking for highly skilled developers proficient in OO ABAP full stack development. In this role, you will be involved in end-to-end designing, developing, and delivering software modules and components using OO ABAP and leveraging AI based tools for developer efficiency. In addition to being responsible for the full development cycle, you will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving customer issues, developing, and implementing new solutions, and providing ongoing support for existing solutions. In your day-to-day tasks, you will need:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, quick-learning ability, and a strong orientation to become independent with minimal handholding.
  • Ability to develop deep product knowledge at functional and technical level to be able to design, develop, and maintain on-going developments.
  • Strong collaboration with Quality Specialists to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure code meets the quality and performance standards.
  • Excellent communication skill and the ability to articulate technical and functional information clearly for internal and external stakeholders and manage expectations.
  • Professional outlook to operate in a globally distributed organization and take full accountability and ownership of deliverables.
  • Know-how to implement new features and enhancements, write clean, efficient, and reusable code while following best practices and coding standards.
  • To participate in own/others’ code reviews, receive and provide constructive feedback, and continuously improve development processes and practices within the team.
  • High discipline to appropriately prioritize tasks, develop detailed designs with estimated efforts, and drive topics to completion.
  • Innovation mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Ability to quickly ramp-up on latest AI and Gen-AI technologies and utilize them in suitable use cases for SAP’s product roadmaps.
  • Execute secure SDLC activities: threat modelling, secure requirements/design review, secure code review, dynamic/manual testing, penetration testing, and security validation.


What you will bring

  • Graduate / Post-Graduate degree in Engineering or Equivalent Degree.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on developer experience.
  • High proficiency in software design principles and object-oriented design.
  • Strong hands-on experience in ABAP, OOABAP (mandatory).
  • Experience with at least one major database (SAP HANA DB, Oracle, DB2, or Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Strong domain knowledge in SAP ERP modules or SAP S/4 HANA is preferred.
  • Prior hands-on experience in SQL, UI5, Fiori, CDS views or RAP is preferred.
  • Good to have - knowledge on basics of Data Science, Python, CLINE, GitHub Co-pilot, Artificial Intelligence and Gen-AI technologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong team player and ability to work successfully in culturally diverse environments.
  • Strong customer focus and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations under pressure.
  • High accountability and ownership, with utmost regard for quality
