Part Time Humber Reserves Estate Worker (Fixed Term)

Job Description

We are looking for a part time Estate Worker to assist the Humber reserves team in the implementation of the work programme by ensuring the reserve gates at our Blacktoft Sands reserve are closed and locked in the evening.

This is a part time role for 6 hours per week, working outside normal working hours Monday to Friday and occasionally at weekends.

Responsibilities include:

  • Locking the reserve gates outside normal working hours Monday to Friday, occasionally at weekends
  • Completing tasks following lone working procedures and in compliance with Health & Safety policy
  • We expect you to carry out your job responsibilities in an environmentally aware manner, ensuring as little damage to the environment as possible. Our aim is to ensure all resources are utilised effectively and efficiently. You will be expected to apply ‘sound value for money’ principles in undertaking purchasing or supply of goods and services.


    This is a part time role for 6 hours per week, fixed-term for 3 months.

    The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.
