Job Description
Are you an innovator with a passion for nature? Do you want to help people across the UK to take more action for nature?
Do you have experience creating and delivering successful income-generating products?
This is a unique opportunity to use your skills and experience to create meaningful change at the RSPB. You will drive forward creative and innovative new fundraising approaches, helping us raise funds to protect nature and wildlife.
In this role, you will:
• Use innovative research, design, development and testing to create and deliver leading edge income generating products in partnership with the Head of Income Product Development.
• Provide clear innovation and project management to drive forward each stage of the project lifecycle.
• Identify resourcing requirements and manage budgets to support new product testing.
• Lead and motivate the team working on innovation projects and celebrate milestones and learning outcomes, even when products are unsuccessful.
• Working with the Strategy, Knowledge & Innovation team ensure that innovation projects are driven by audience insight and align with our innovation framework.
• Co-create and collaborate with supporters, members, and the public, to build ideas together and learn from them throughout the process.
• Understand the external context to ensure RSPB product development priorities align with business need and industry trends.
• Showcase fundraising innovation within the organisation and help others develop innovation and product development skills and capabilities.
• Work with teams to turn successful innovations into established products that will provide sustainable funding for our conservation work.

Essentials:
• Experience of developing products, projects and managing change in a fundraising and or marketing environment
• Understanding of the principles, theory and practice of new product development and experience of taking a product from idea to market.
• Experience of leading change and working in an agile environment.
• Experience of using collaboration and co-creation to achieve positive outcomes.
• Ability to adapt quickly and be solutions focussed
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience of working with diverse teams
• Experience of developing innovative solutions

This is a Permanent, Full-Time role in the Strategy, Planning & Development team, part of the Income & Conservation Investment Directorate.
