Job Description
We are seeking a talented Digital Content Manager to join our strategic communications team on a seven-month fixed-term contract.
As we migrate towards a more personalised experience for users through our digital platforms, the ideal candidate will work closely with digital and communications teams to champion user insight and make sure the online experience of audiences leads to impactful action for nature.
You will be responsible for managing two digital content executives, within a bigger email and website team and you will guide a centre of excellence to key stakeholders to ensure consistent branded content delivery. With an eye for detail and a passion for producing engaging and informative content you will know what resonates with audiences and drives growth.
The digital content delivery team is a strategic and delivery partner to the organisation within the digital technology and communications directorate. Your teammates will be experts in creative, social media, strategy, planning, traffic management and UXD and as a team player, you will collaboratively to deliver outstanding content.
The way many of us live our lives is disrupting the delicate balance created by nature over millions of years. Deforestation, overfishing, intensive farming methods, increased pollution and our burning of fossil fuels are just some of the ways we are destroying biodiversity both here in the UK and around the globe. While some species are able to adapt, others are really struggling, with some on the verge of extinction. In this role it is essential that you are a passionate advocate for nature and understand why we urgently need to come together to save it.
Essential skills, knowledge:
- Technical expertise in SEO & CMS and have a proven track record of building excellent content across multiple platforms.
- Deliver world class digital content which aligns with our strategic objectives.
- Be analytical in reviewing results to deliver efficiencies within website and email platforms.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, organisational policy & frameworks and best practice standards within area of specialism.
- Generate innovative ideas that build upon and improve existing approaches.
- Manage line-reports, and support staff & volunteers across the organisation in use of digital channels to enhance user experience and deliver business objectives.
- Be a champion of our standards as well as strategy are applied in line with business need and industry trends to help deliver future plans and roadmaps within discipline
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Strategy: Proven experience of medium to long term digital project management and campaign development delivery.
- Systems: Experience working with Headless CMS systems.
This is a 7-month Fixed-Term role for 37.5 hours per week.
