Your role in saving nature
The RSPB’s digital estate is vital to our mission to give nature a home – from rallying people together to speak up for nature, to inspiring a love of wildlife, to raising the income that pays for our conservation work in the UK and around the world.
We look to our Developers to contribute competency and capabilities to the development team within the Technology Design and Delivery team. You will work both individually and collectively to support new and existing platforms. Delivering high standards of code and ensuring your experience and skills bring in-depth effectiveness to a variety of tactical and strategic projects.
You will be able to communicate effectively with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, demonstrating initiative with a positive and proactive attitude. Be able to respond to business requirements with innovative solutions and present creative lateral thinking to technical roadblocks.
You will be able to work without direction translating business requirements into technical solutions, conduct code reviews ensuring work is production ready, highly effective, and efficient. You will be comfortable in multi-project sprint-based environment, focussed on efficiency and removing constraints by turning obstacles into opportunities.
You must be commercially competent throughout your range of skills and be able to draw on a wealth of experience. Confident to go beyond your comfort zone and experiment with unfamiliar technologies when needed and thrive in dynamic teams exhibiting agility and capability with high frequency delivery cycles.
Essential Skills

The Technology Design and Delivery Team use with a range of technologies and platforms and are always looking to develop solutions in the most suitable for each project. You may be working with a range of these including .NET Core, JavaScript, React, NPM, SharePoint and Azure.

This is a Permanent, Full-Time role, 37.5 hours per week. We support a healthy work life balance and full remote working to help save nature through people.
