As Head of the Aircraft Availability Centre (f/m/d) for Business Aviation, you will lead a globally connected organisation responsible for maximising aircraft availability and delivering outstanding service to our customers. You will bring together operational service, maintenance planning, campaign management and service centre activities, ensuring that our customers receive responsive, reliable and high-quality support whenever and wherever it is required.
This is a senior leadership role at the heart of our Business Aviation Services organisation. You will work across functions, programmes, service partners and customers to drive operational excellence, strengthen our global service network and shape the future of our availability services.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership for the Aircraft Availability Centre teams, comprising the 24/7 Operational Service Desk, Maintenance Planning & Campaigns team and the global network of Authorized Service Centres.
- Establish and maintain effective operational and business performance measures to monitor and continuously improve aircraft availability, service delivery performance, service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and support the delivery of reactive operational fleet plans, ensuring timely and effective actions are taken to maintain and increase fleet availability and service performance. Proactively identify operational threats and drive appropriate mitigating actions.
- Identify, prioritise and implement initiatives that improve aircraft availability, operational effectiveness and cost efficiency, while enhancing the overall customer experience and satisfaction.
- Act as a key point of integration between relevant Project Teams and Services organisations, ensuring that Availability Services are developed, implemented and delivered through established governance structures, processes and service standards.
- Champion continuous improvement across Service Delivery, actively engaging teams, promoting a culture of operational excellence and sponsoring improvement programmes and strategic initiatives.
- Support the Future Programmes and Service Readiness teams, ensuring service lines are developed and prepared for entry into service in line with business strategy, customer expectations and airframer commitments.
- Lead and manage the development, capability and performance of the global Service Centre Network, ensuring a consistent, high-quality service offering and strong operational performance across the network.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, service partners and customers, ensuring alignment on priorities, performance expectations and improvement opportunities.
- Foster a high-performing, inclusive and collaborative team culture, developing leadership capability and ensuring the organisation has the skills and capabilities required to meet current and future business needs.
Skills & Experience
- Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aero-engine products, ideally gained within an aerospace, aviation or related engineering environment.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in logistics, on-wing engine maintenance, maintenance planning and/or spares management.
- Significant experience in leading teams within complex, international and globally distributed organisations.
- Proven customer-facing experience, combined with a strong understanding of commercial principles and business performance.
- Strong background in operations, programme/project management and continuous improvement, with a demonstrated ability to translate strategy into effective operational delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity, manage competing priorities and make effective decisions in a time-critical operational environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across organisational, functional and cultural boundaries.
- Excellent intercultural awareness and the ability to collaborate effectively within a global organisation.
- Business-fluent English; additional languages, particularly German, would be an advantage.
